I don't see much woman-hate in here. And the little that I do see gets downvoted to hell.

Maybe if you could provide some examples (based on what goes on in this sub) then I could see where you're coming from.

What I do see here, is hatred of feminists. Feminists, you see, are not the same thing as women. I often times see people make the mistake of thinking that bitterness towards feminists is the same as bitterness towards women. But even hatred of feminists I notice is being hushed down a bit.

So really... Examples would help out a lot. I have seen some MRA's be hyperskeptical of women in ways that they aren't with men... But I just haven't seen it all that much in this sub. Help us out.

MRA doesn't oppose women, but feminism. There's a huge distinction between both. In this sub you'll see posts that are about "women doing wrong", that's true, but jokes against women? Attacking women because they are women? Maybe you have a point on twisting facts, that's what all people with an agenda do, but there are always people calling this out.

I think you are posting in the wrong sub. Are you sure you are not meant to post this amongst the redpillers? If I'm wrong, please take a look at the "hot" page, maybe go back 2-10 pages, and show me women being attacked because they are women or popular messages being misoginistic. Do some men in this sub hate women? Absolutely. But they are not the majority.

It seems to be that you just wanted to explain how awesome you are. There are other subs to boost your ego.

EDIT : Looking at your post history, you already found those subs to boost your ego.

I think you should address this post to your ex-boyfriend, not all the people on mensrights that you don't know. There's a certain irony in addressing a complaint about generalizations to a hypothetical audience that is itself a generalization.

The rampant woman-hating attributed to this sub rarely materializes. Yeah there is some, but it's downvoted immediately.

You'll see a lot of complaints about marriage in general due to the biased laws that hurt men. But that's not the same thing as saying all women are bitches.

I'm female and have been hanging out here for a while. I think that in many cases, at least for the self-posts you see here, you see men who HAVE been screwed over by the system in ways that they never even considered possible before it happened - whether they were laughed out of a police station when attempting to report a rape or whether their child support payments were increased because of things that had absolutely nothing to do with them. You see men whose eyes are opened and they realize "What hte hell just happened, and why do we allow this?" And they realize that there's no way, in the US, that a woman would have received anywhere near the same treatment.

And then once you see those things, you can't stop seeing them. Someone on here points out that men die more often at work,a nd then you realize "Oh. Oh! They do, don't they." Then you notice a headline: "Five die in crash, including four women."

For me, it was being around my boyfriend. He's an amazing father and loves children - but heaven forbid he even THINK about looking at a kid at ALL when we're in public. THere's this perception that because he's 6' and 300lbs and MALE that he's going to take that kid into an alley and offer him "a puppy," when really all he wants to do is say "hey, your kid's shoe is untied" or some such thing.

When you add into all this the way many, many men have been socialized NOT to share negative feelings like sadness or grief...what do they turn to in order to cope? Humor, maybe, so yeah, there's lots of sarcasm here. A lot of it. Read any post about a female teacher raping a male student and you'll see that.

I don't think any of the men here would deny that there are awesome chicks out there - my boyfriend would probably count as an MRA but he's still thinking about marrying me, despite half the posts here being about the shittiness of things for married men. The trouble, though, is that in so many cases, all it takes is ONE woman to completely RUIN a man's life in ways that are both government sanctioned and perpetuated and in ways that same woman would not necessarily face.

I think what you witnessed was what happens when you expose yourself to only one side of an argument. All he saw was the bad in women much like women only exposing themselves to the bad things of men.

I agree with you. I am married with 2 daughters and I want the best for them. I also want equality, I am fighting back against the special teatment that society is increasingly giving to females.

The women movement/ feminists want selective equality. As for the politicians the media etc they have everything to gain in the short term by casting men as the bad. The politicians, who have the power, do not want equality they want to get re-elected.

I have seen the same happen the other way around as well. This can happen when issues get polarized and it is a shame. We sometimes lash out at those around us. Neither gender should forget the vast majority of all of us are decent people. You post is welcomed here.

Maybe it's not just because you are women. Maybe it's because you live in a society where man hate is the mainstream view, men are told they need to do increasingly impossible and personally damaging things in order to get acceptance, and where almost no women speak out against these things.

Whether or not you are a feminist you benefit from the societal bias in your favor, and the fact that you have in all likelyhood benefited from all of this at the cost of men while not doing anything about it is a reason to mislike and/or not trust you.

If you have done anything to change these things then I apologize, but there is almost zero chance of that.

Ok this is where there needs to be dialogue, yes there are probably mysogynistic MRAs who hate women, have had bad experiences and use Men's Rights as an excuse to hate women, your ex would be one, but that being said they're few and far between, much less common than the rad fems or femnazis (whichever term you prefer) that adhere to Dworkinism and believe men not averting their gaze as women pass by is oppressive. It is something that needs to be worked on, women shouldn't feel unwelcome in the movement and I for one invite you to stick around and look at the issues we focus on and not let a bad apple spoil the whole bunch.
