Thank you for standing up against racism, sexism, and anti-gay-ism.

However, your counter protest is misguided; MRAs are, as a group, not sexist, nor racist, and not anti-gay.

For example:

Hello r/mensrights, Let me give you some background about me before I ask my question, I am a 23 year old man who happens to be gay, I am out and proud but it does not define me. But I have a recurring problem, Every feminist I have ever came across, want to use me as an weapon to further there cause, its degrading, they do not treat me as an equal, but they love to say mras are homophobic and do not care about LGBT rights. Also try to tell me I'm this helpless victim and I need feminism to be "free". I do not feel this way, yes I have been attacked/disowned/belittled. But I used those negative experiences to work hard and succeed and make my own in this life, not wallow in sadness. Guess my question is this:

Is there a place for me in the movement? At the end of the day I'm a man, I just like dudes instead of girls.

Is there space for Gay men in MensRights?

Edit: I want to say I'm overwhelmed with the positive reasponse, I did not now what to expect after what I was told about the MRM, I'm glad what I was told was wrong! I will be sticking around and contribute where I can.

Another cringe worthy feminist protest. Ironically they are the racists, sexist.. not once have I seen any talk amongst MRAs that was racists. As far as sexism... seems having an educational system and politically funded anti mens rights group aka feminism.. that is about the most sexist thing ever. Not once have I seen an anti gay argument from any MRA. Gay men .. being offended by Mens rights movement really? WTF is that?

Feminist are really in a weak debate situation here. They haven't a leg to stand on except for the claim that we live in a "patriarchy" that none can actually make materialize in western cultures. Their protest this time was actually kind of pathetic compared to their last gross display of bigotry. Thankfully.. Maybe the MRM is having some** effect amongst rational thinking people.

Hmm. Not NEARLY the big explosive turnout expected. Why, I wonder? I can think of three reasons:

They got in trouble with the college higher-ups for their violence.
they blew all their money with the last rally
They may have finally realized that big, showy, violent protests hurt themselves far worse than they hurt us

Um, some gays and non-whites are men...so why would MRAs possibly hate them? Hell, some are even MRAs themselves. (I know many women are MRAs too but I know these protesters are of low intelligence so I want to make sure we're doing baby steps when it comes to logic and reason.)

It seems a deliberate method by the protestor group to send in the mangina arm of the feminazi, and not the usual Big Red brigade. I guess they want to send a message that "real men" support feminism, and are against men & boys human rights.
