The problem I see here is that she was charged with exposing a person under 16 to explicit material (showing porn to a minor) when what she really should have been charged with was showing porn to a minor AND soliciting sex from an underage person (age of consent is 16). So they've been super lenient with her, basically.

I think this is a proportionate and reasonable response to what she did.

My only issue is that if a man had done it he would be on the sex offenders register faster than you can say "child-abuser," and there's certainly no way in hell his identity would have been protected.

Barrister Steve Zillman, for the mother, said his client had been diagnosed with a psychotic order, was out of touch with reality at the time and had been looking to "bolster her self-image". He said the woman was diagnosed with adjustment order, anxiety and depressed mood, suffered a "breakdown" and was continuing to seek treatment as a result.

Can anyone imagine a 41 year old man doing the same thing to some 14 and 15 year old girls and getting off this easy?

This would be another instance where it would be nice if feminist subs were open forums. I'd love to post this there and see how they justify this.
