This kind of petty name-calling (which is kind of the entire article) is very off putting and I hope not to see things like this in the future. In fact, this article promotes nothing about men's rights and has no place here.

The only argument that could be made is that there is no men's studies, but its not even mentioned in the article at all. Its just hateful/spiteful. Is this really what you guys want the MR to become? Downvote this nonsense and upvote the real issues.

Nope. The woman in the picture is gendering the issue, and both she and the poster of the above commenter are ignoring how utterly useless this type of degree is. People who hold Women's Studies degrees often only go on to educate others in Women's Studies or to write books in the field. I don't think that that's any real contribution to society as compared to say, going into medicine in any of it's various branches. If she really wants to keep things gendered and sexist and only help women, she can become a gynecologist. But at least then she is actively contributing to the betterment of society in a very direct way.

What is with all the hate on women's studies? You do realize that means learning about things like what women have done throughout history, right? And women's rights movements, etc... Versus normal history classes where we learn all about what men have done, 99% of the time. Majoring in women's studies is like majoring in history- both are fairly useless in today's economy, but picking out the one just because it focuses on women is pretty fucked up.

EDIT: Also, I hate the title here. Betraying your father? What about betraying your child by not supporting them in pursuing their dreams and interests? You don't know the back-story to their relationship, so this is a pretty harsh thing to say.
