And yes , he's absolutely right. If we didn't have to put up with so much of this "ist" and "ism" crap , we wouldn't have to fight so hard just to get fair treatment.

People who insist on identifying with some sort of "ism" or "ist" mentality ARE ideologues. He's absolutely right. I'm not an MRA , I'm just a guy who's sick of men getting shafted by every other "ism" and "ist" out there. It puts me here by default.

The quote is fine in general, but it does not describe either the MRM or MGTOW well. MGTOW is self explanatory, you're not a follower of an ideology if that supposed ideology is "don't follow anybody, make your own path". The MRM more or less equals antifeminism, regardless of PC people liking this idea or not. And if you fight against an ideology that does not necessarily mean you follow another. I say the MRM works as intended as long as it fights against ideologies, but it's doomed if it creates its own. Let's just not come up with our own bullshit, it suffices if we fight against others'.

I am a mens right activst. You know why the isms and ists are important? Because people standing together to fight for something as a whole are much stronger than standing alone. If you can't make your own decisions or compose your own thoughts, thats your problem.

Anyway, this quote, if true, is kinda dumb. Words help us define ideas. Labeling someone a feminist gives us a rather good idea of what they are striving for. I once had a young pup try and convince me that this new idea called participatory economics, parecon for short, was this great new way to organize society. So I read the tract and what i found was communitarian society organized around councils which decided how goods, services, and jobs were distributed. IOW, soviet communism. (BTW, the Russian world for council is soviet.)

Labels help us cut through the BS.
