I just watched this movie for the first time last night. I was incredibly uncomfortable watching this. Her psychotic activities as well as punching him to get him to accept her as a sidekick...yeesh.

"JG:But, yeah, the rape scene you’re talking about is sort of beautiful. I actually got raped like that one time and I’m not kidding. That’s really true. I got raped by a woman and I wrote a blog about it and people got very, very upset, because some people… [Laughs] I shouldn’t even be talking about this; my publicist is making faces at me. But I wrote a blog about how I got raped, because when I was first divorced and I was going crazy and hooking up with strippers. And I went back to my house with this woman and…my girlfriend is in the room with me, by the way, this is great, she loves this story. i find the choice of music in this scene very telling also.

if the genders were reversed, it would be dramatic, sombre, macabre music, or bleak silence. the visual treatment would be different too, all effort would be made to ensure that this event was emotionally portrayed as horrible and evil.
