What is this idiot talking about? Centuries of oppression? No individual alive has gone through that. If she/they’re talking about gender then males have been oppressed not for centuries, but for millennia. Who do they think provided most of the forced/slave labor that many civilizations on this planet used? Egypt, Babylon, Persia, and Rome, to name a few? To build famous structures like the Pyramids and the Great Wall of China? To fight in countless wars and battles for their rulers, many of whom didn’t want to but were forced, even to this day? All this and much more has been done to men.

Let women have their day. I know, I know, every day is basically women's day, but being intentionally catty isn't going to win us any favors. They think every day that isn't women's day celebrates men inherently.

Pissing off an ideologue isn't a way to make them side with you. You have to agree with them, then slowly challenge them with tidbits over time to bring their perspective around. If you don't find common ground with them first, you just flag yourself as the enemy, and they will use their institutional power to vaporize you.
