Female probation officer sexually assaults two detained boys (aka caged children). Word "rape" never used, of course.

Viral video: Mom savagely beats 9yr old daughter for "crime" of talking to father. Father begged authorities to protect her from violent mom, but nobody cared (until he got video).

India executes only men since 1955. Woman hills 7 people (including children) and is sentenced to death. CNN blames patriarchy: "women who violate entrenched norms of gender behavior are more likely to receive the death penalty." If no woman has ever been executed, how do they conclude this?

New Covid19 stimulus bill has 15 women-only provisions, ZERO men-only provisions. For example, grants to help small businesses "shall prioritize awarding grants to eligible entities that are small business concerns owned controlled by women."

Is she not aware that the Lehman brothers had been dead for about a century before the collapse happened?

[–]karatdem 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why use logic when you just want to push a narrative?

Going with her estimation of women the Lehman sisters wouldn’t of started up a business to begin with because that involves a level of significant risk...

wouldn’t of

FFS. It's wouldn't have.

[–]Wisemanner 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Simply because there would not have been anywhere for it to collapse from.

Right now, India is in some trouble because banks gave billions to industrialists who are not paying bank and absconding, so much so that the it effected overall economy. All bank leaders came up when women empowerment was being promoted, banks are even trying to protect those women even now.

Edit: to add that at least one major bank's women CEO is under investigation for cheating or benefiting for such deals.

Yep, and in the Australian banking industry scandal playing out at present the two worst offenders both had women chairing their boards and both women have been forced to resign, along with a heap of other directors, for their roles in the wrongdoing.

It’s time for feminists to shut up with the “women in business are more capable/more ethical/better in whatever way” nonsense. Now that the evidence is in, that misandry has been thoroughly disproved.

Didn't you know that women are inherently good?

[–]Kyle_Fischer 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly! Women are well known for exercising discretion with their spending, particularly when they are using money derived from their husband's paycheck.

More evidence that Sen Kristen Gillibrand is a sexist. If she is up for re election in November dont vote for this female chauvinist.

When Lehman went under, both the Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Financial Officer were women.

What her line of reasoning oversees is that, even if you could argue that typically male traits helped cause the bubble of speculation, she is talking about one, highly selective firms. The men and women that made it to positions of authority in banks like Lehmann are likely to have much more in common with one another than with their genders overall. Just like even if you can argue that women CEOs do as well or better than male CEOs, you cannot conclude that more women CEOs would be good for the economy unless you can also stipulate that those additional women CEOs would have the same or better traits as the women CEOs who have already made it.

Amazing how much of the debate simply ignores this...

If it was Lehman sisters, they would be a single store pay day loan outfit in the mid-west.

So that's why HP did so well under Carly Fiorina, then Meg Whitman..
