Yesterday I've had a short exchange with a member of this subreddit.

He claimed one of my posts was homophobic. I replied my intention was to point out the aversion some lesbians have against heterosexual men which I described as heterophobic.

He told me there's no such thing as "heterophobia".

Now, anyone's entitled to his/hew own opinion, and frankly I find useless to argue over such a statement. The topic though brought me to an article written in 2021 by a historian which tells the story about one job interview she took.

Much of what she wrote explains the forma mentis of modern pseudofeminists.

In particular, I find this passage very symptomatic:

Heterosexuality as we understand it today—a way of describing a particular kind >of relationship between a man and a woman defining both the kinds of sex acts they >engage in together and their identities across a spectrum of possible sexual >identities—exists because of homophobia, and it is usually bound up with >antifeminism.

"Heterosexuality exists because of homophobia".

The core of the problem is the refusal of our biological identity, because the PFs (aka pseudofeminists) really believe heterosexuality is a construct born from the male hegemony.

Heterophobia doesn't exist, because heterosexuality is just the tool men used to hold their grip over women.

She doesn't openly say this, but it's implied by her words:

marriage counselors in the 1940s and 1950s wrote copiously about “heterosexual >adjustment,” a process they thought was essential for all husbands and wives, who might not enter their marriages knowing how to be heterosexual. They had to learn it.

Heterosexuality is not the norm, people (women?) are bisexual, but (cis-)men forced them to be "straight".

To say it sounds crazy wouldn't even begin to explain it. It contradicts the very axiom of life itself. Such is the power of "patriarchy", we men managed to decide sexual orientation of the (almost) entire humanity.

A couple of weeks ago I received a PM from a person claiming to be a lesbian doctor. It started as a simple chit-chat, but soon turned into some kind of examination. At some point she claimed that most women are bisexual...

So you see where the hate for men comes from. We have deprived women of their sexual freedom.

The truth is these people are wired differently. Their ideas transcend reality. They simply refuse to contemplate the possibility the ratios are like this not because of the "patriarchy", but because this is simply how it works for the most part of the animal kingdom (and plant kingdom for that matter).

If they did, everything they stand for would crumble.
