I'm actually friends with the guy that went to the festival in order to prove the hypocrisy. The festival was deemed as discriminatory but there was no actual consequences.

The thing is though that most people don't actually see themselves as feminist in Sweden, it's more the fact the government and a few loud and obnoxious people make it seem like that.

I both live in Sweden and have read about the festival, and by reading through both this post and your comments I think you have the wrong idea.

This festival was originally a ”no men”-festival but it wouldn’t get approved so they decided to accept selling tickets to male audience but all the staff and artists performing were strictly female in the festival.

And no dude would want to go to this shit anyway, hence why it seems like it was a ”no men allowed”-festival.

But it was bad enough to get reported and seen through as criminal offense by police and such.
