I was proposing to consider a statistic that is not plagued by bias. You’re talking about something else entirely. I’m talking about measuring honestly the scale of a supposed problem, you’re talking about the cause of the supposed problem.

So please refrain from the dismissive “no it’s not” when you’re failing to address the issue I raised... As for your argument - which, again, is another one entirely - I think that you choose to:

1/ ignore the fact that more and more women are choosing to do these jobs despite “unwelcoming” conditions

2/ ignore the fact that these jobs are not desirable for most (that’s including men and women altogether). They tend to go to people that have no choice is their employment opportunities... When people envision their ideal career path (whether it’s STEM or any other prestigious job), it rarely includes those jobs but that feels pretty okay.

It is more of a fact that women avoid dangerous jobs. Full stop.

Many men actively choose careers in the military, law enforcement, fire fighting, farming, construction, deep sea fishing, or truck driving. You might erroneously believe that construction is a job of last resort. Yet, a quick stroll through the kids' section of your local big box store will find clothing, toys, and television shows that cater to a young child's love for big ass earth moving machines, hard hats, and building things. Same with the other professions that I mentioned above.

Yet, all are extremely dangerous and have high mortality rates. The question is "Why do women avoid dangerous jobs?" and not "Are men more susceptible to deaths than women?". Respectfully, it appears that you are re-framing the question to avoid tackling the issue of choice.

I’m guessing you don’t like when the wage gap is mentioned as a general percentage across all jobs.

There's a huge difference here. Every single news outlet will report on the earnings gap. Whereas when it comes to dangerous vocations and work place deaths -- specifically the amount of men die -- the focus will be on the negative aspects of men in general instead of the loss of life (even going as far as stating women are the primarily victims of men dying).

The interesting and unbiased number is: are women paid less than men for the same job under the same conditions. Right?

Yes and no. You haven't defined any of the conditions or terms that you're using. Such as the job in question, any qualifications required, or the element of negotiation, benefits, or if you're going by an hourly, annual, or lifetime basis. And just a note, non-monetary benefits aren't counted and there's no set standard when it comes to full-time hours vs part-time (it's conducted on a annual or life-time basis par hours). Wasn't there a BBC New Reporter who complained she was getting paid half of what a male counterpart earned even tho she worked half as many hours and only appeared during day-time broadcasts (whereas he didn't limit when he worked).

Either way, it's a farcical argument and you're playing a very dubious game here. If any fingers are to be pointed, it's at people such as yourself.

You lie and then you'll lie again just cause, and the lie takes form. It's then repeated by every single news outlet and politician out there.

Just a note: what happened during Obama's term when it was reported there was a 'wage gap' in the White House. Didn't a News Secretary explain the different factors in a news report.

So why won’t you hold yourself to the same standards?

"Toxic masculinity" is a hate term designed by feminists to demean and degrade men and boys.

As for the point of OP -- it is clearly stated in the graphic. It is absurd to characterize men as "privileged" ("every day is international men's day") when men are treated as disposable objects by women and broader society. Males now fare worse on almost every major quality of life indicator from cradle to grave.

Men used to receive respect for the monumental sacrifices they perform to keep women and children safe and privileged -- now they are mocked and scorned with terms like "toxic masculinity."

is probably that men are more often pressured to do dangerous things because if they don’t, they’ll be called “pussies” and mocked.

Men have far greater concerns than being called "pussies". They have to support their wives and children. If they are divorced they will be thrown in jail if they fail to subsidize their exes. Since they are discriminated against in schools they have a poorer chance of getting a cushy white collar job. They will stand a much better chance of finding a mate if they earn more than she does (female hypergamy). And above all they need to keep civilization functioning for spoiled brats like you.
