I'm curious why the 'other patrons' said that... Like, what did he do that they perceived as him being a perv? Did he glance at them? People watching, since he's solo?

In the UK single disabled males are treated with open sexist contempt and subjected to repeated disability hate crime. I don't know a single visibly disabled guy in the UK who has not been abused.

I'm a single disabled male so I know after years of being labeled a paedophile simply because I exist. I'm tired of bitchy females and puppeted males who deny you humanity.

After over 5 years of the crap I'm looking forward to being moved and hopefully seeing an end to UK housing ghettos filled with single mothers who are empowered to criminality because ..... Vagina. The lower the socioeconomic status of the female the more likely she is to see her abuse of men as permitted and her right.

If you look normal, and you have an internal disability, then you're really the worst, most offensive human being ever, as long as you have a penis. Because we cannot see your disability, and negative or antisocial behavior (like breathing hard while glancing at women) is further proof you're just an evil agent inside.

[–]omegaphallic 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That is horrifying, wish I was there to set them straight.

[–]Imnotmrabut[S] 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The UK is in denial over the nature ad rates of hate crime. When it comes to Disability hate Crime the government's own figures show that Police fail to record 97%. It's white knighting on a grand scale.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The UK is in denial about a lot of things, their missing persons numbers are higher than any other developed country because they never list them as dead because well no body.

[–]Imnotmrabut[S] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The UK leads the world in a great deal of denial.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh he glanced? Undiniable crime, cuff him boys.

[–]ValkyrieNightWitch 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"The decision to remove Mr Harris from our premises was made following complaints from other customers. Since then and by way of an apology, we have reached out to Mr Harris and his son directly to offer a complimentary meal.”

Plenty of bitches at bars, but in the end, it's the staff and bouncers who are responsible for how it ends. Did anyone talk to him? I doubt it.

[–]Innomen 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow. A meal. Bet the complainers tab could feed them for a month.

[–]Electroverted 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Too bad it's a franchise, so I doubt there will be any real impact from this bad press.

It's a wonder some Neanderthals didn't attack him.

[–]Imnotmrabut[S] 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe the young ladies weren't attractive enough to make it worth the Neanderthals time?

On the other hand they could have been woke MRA Neanderthals, in which case the gals were on a hiding to nothing. 😉

[–]EsraYmssik 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's Swansea on a saturday night. The girls' attractiveness would have been approaching 100% because the Neanderthals would have all been shit faced.

Well, it is a 'Slug and Lettuce', pretentious pubs for people who think they are 'too middle class' to go to pubs.

Oh, I forgot The Beer Goggles.

[–]Jonny-Wavenhoe 14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If you look like a perve, you must be one.

Who's basically a perve? Pretty much any guy who looks at me and I don't think would be worth dating.

Eweee! Another perve looked at me! More unwanted sexual attention. So gross. Next time I take one of those gender studies surveys (out undoubtedly within a week), I'll be upgrading my experienced victim status from weekly to daily.

[–]rubberchickenlips 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The news article was spotty and lacked info. What sort of things was the poor guy doing to be called a "perv"?

The man has prostate cancer and some of the symptoms are dribbling or interrupted flow of urine, painful or burning urination, pressure or pain in the rectum, pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, pelvis, or thighs.

If the man was continually massaging or touching his pelvis or groin because of the pain, then that could be misconstrued as "pervy".

It looks like one big misunderstanding to me.

[–]DarkLorde117 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely. There's several reasons the customers could have reasonably assumed he was being a pervert. It's the staff that should be drawing fire.

A handful of complaints about some elderly bloke and they kick him out without so much as talking to him? No heads up? Absolutely shameful behavior.

Why don't we do this back!

Why don't we call out every fucking landwhale piece of shit as a dirty rapist.

[–]omegaphallic 17 points18 points19 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Because I refuse to bully innocent people.

[–]Blutarg 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bingo.

[–]mwobuddy 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And this is why male movements fail. They're actually based on a premise of fairness and integrity.

That's why males are still viewed as disposable. Because they refrain from tit-for-tat behavior.

[–]omegaphallic -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well isn't that a hopeful positive attitude.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

honesty begins with the self.

[–]mwobuddy 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, guys really need to start creating rumor mills against women as women do against men. The only way change happens is the Mutually assured destruction clause.

[–]DarkLorde117 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

That's a pretty dismal way of looking at things. We can't reach these people because they think we're assholes. If we act like assholes, they'll confirm their beliefs and go TFG. If we can show some respect and decency, and open communication before that happens, we have a shot. It's all this bitterness about women's movement, and no acknowledgement about the base premise, that's making it so hard for men's issues to break into the discussion.

Most women still see feminism as the embodiment of egalitarianism, by ragging on it before we establish a fair discussion, we shut ourselves out, and doom ourselves to the very problems we set out to solve.

We win this with the Gandhi approach, not the Napoleon one.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You didn't know ghandi very well, did you?

Also, fyi, ghandi had 'celibacy tests' where he'd have two teens lie naked in bed and watch them all night to see if they could withhold from carnal desires. Also he used to have married women of teenage to mature age sleep in the same bed with him, naked of course, as 'testing himself'.

[–]DarkLorde117 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That's completely beside the point of my statement, and the most gargantuan load of crap I've seen all day.

Ghandi's approach to resolving conflict was patience, pacifism and understanding. Those are the traits I'm suggesting we learn from when we engage with these people. Not that we embrace his entire philosophy, because there was a lot wrong with it.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yet Gandhi’s philosophy when fully understood shows bizarre applications. In 1920 he wrote, “I do believe that where there is a choice between cowardice and violence I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done, had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908, whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defended me, I told him that it was his duty to defend me even by using violence.”

[–]DarkLorde117 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Violence beats cowardice, but it isn't cowardly to treat people like human beings and try to reach an understanding. Y'all are reaching.

Violence is an appropriate reaction to say, absolute tyranny. We're not being tyrannized. Maybe we're being treated poorly in a lot of respects but there's plenty of opportunity for that to change.

[–]DarkLorde117 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're completely derailing the topic. I'm not arguing about Ghandi's moral righteousness. I'm arguing for the right way to approach tense gender relations at the present day.

Cut the bullshit.

Because men are better than them?

[–]TheImpossible1 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Taking the high ground gets you nowhere when the other side is willing to go so low they're underground.

[–]omegaphallic 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'll take that risk if it means I can still look myself in the face thanks.

[–]TheImpossible1 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think when they're attacking the disabled, attacking back is justified

[–]DarkLorde117 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As has been said above, the bloke is suffering from prostate cancer. A lot of the symptoms involve pain in the groin/crotch/buttocks. If the man took even one glance over there, while massaging or adjusting himself, he could easily be seen as a perv. Article is too fuzy on the details for us to draw conclusions.

It's the staff who should draw most of the fire. After a handful of complaints, they kick him out without so much as a warning? Or attempt at clarification? Absolutely shameful behavior that has nothing to do with treating random women like shit.

Such a gargantuan leap in logic as to how that'll help improve the situation is rather baffling.

[–]Imnotmrabut[S] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Interesting way to say that some can't be dealt with due to their Bunker Mentality. P¬))

[–]mikesteane 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It may appear that that is the case on the large scale, but at the individual level things are very different. In this case the the "other customers" (read entitled women) will hit the wall still trying show off their value. As they lose their looks, they will start sinking along with their selfish characters. Men who refuse to sink to their level will not share the same fate.

Despite all appearances to the contrary, the big scheme of things is dependent on all the individuals that make it up. The side which has stood strongest will make progress. This is already coming into effect as modern young women look around at ageing feminists and think "I don't want to be like that."

I was around some early 20's girls recently who were talking about guys being misogynistic.

They're still drinking the kool aid

[–]mikesteane 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Some are, definitely. But it seems to me there is a general movement away from the experimentation that has led so many women into the life of an embittered post wall spinster.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

while they talk about guys being misogynistic, they still have few qualms about random drunk hookups. One has a kid and still goes out man hunting. She tried to get a threesome with me and a friend last year, while she had a boyfriend.

[–]mikesteane 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, they haven't quite made all the connections.

Yup. In the UK the number of childless women over the age of 45 has nearly doubled to 1 in 5. It must be higher for feminists, which is a shame because having children is the main thing that snaps them out of their pre-child ideas about What Women Want.

[–]Blutarg -3 points-2 points-1 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Okay, become what we oppose. That will do a lot of good. While you're at it, give yourself cancer, too, in the name of promoting good health.

[–]TheImpossible1 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks for telling me to get cancer.

[–]Blutarg 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That was sarcasticasm, but sarcasm does not transmit well over print. I apologize for offending you. I sure hope you don't get cancer.

[–]Thread_water 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Reminds me of when my Dad was asked to leave the poolside, we were kids, and he was watching over us. He obviously told them to fuck off and in the end he wasn't forcefully removed or anything. But it always stuck in my head, I could never understand why they'd want him removed.

[–]Vanriel 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Personally, I feel like the "other patrons" who requested he be asked to leave get a ban for that place.

It won't happen of course but it feels to me like it would be fair.

Swansea is a university city, so who wants to bet it was the media studies/ feminist basket weaving lot that got him kicked out
