Fun fact:

If you actually examine police reports of violent crime against women after dark and outside, 40-50% of violent crimes against women... are committed by other women.

The idea that there is a particular danger of violence from men outside and after dark is a myth.

I was thinking about doing write up on this analysis, which would involve pinning down more precise cut-offs for what fairly constitutes at night and outside and a few other details, but I don't feel enough people would care.

The comment that asks to explain how it isn't sexist is looking from the wrong perspective, they're complaining that if instead of gender it was race it would be racist, first of all the subject of the sentence is nfl players, no one mentioned that the nfl player was required to be male specifically and second, she was the one who brought race and gender into the conversation. I also noticed that there are also players of different skin colours, so she's definitely pulling the race card for no reason.

Women are 2 to 3 times safer walking down a street than men in Western societies (I don't know about others). Three quarters of violent crime are directed at men, especially homicide by a stranger (street crime).
