So many of the comments are just implying that men want to hit women. Unbelievable.

Since I was a child I've either been assaulted or threatened with assault by women who always follow up with... "You can't hit me, I'm a girl/woman". Now we are in a time where men are saying, " No I won't be a punching bag, if you hit me I'll protect myself and hit you back." The reason men hit back hard is because for all they know the women might be carrying a weapon and so the men are ending the fight as quickly as possible for their own safety.

If you hit me, regardless of your gender I will defend myself and take you down hard for my own safety.

If you are stupid enough to attack someone who is bigger than you then don't be surprised if they send you to the pavement. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Men understand that if they start a physical fight they can expect any variety of violence in return be it equal, excessive or deadly. Less men are involving themselves in public on behalf of women they don't know therefore women need to learn the same lesson we've known for years: throw a slap, expect a knife.

Here's something to consider, if it was a weaker man or male teenager, just pestering a clearly stronger man with somewhat mild slaps or whatnot, and the stronger man responded by actually punching him, that would be considered normal and justified. That is in fact what happens, although physically weaker men usually don't start fights like that with some guy who can beat them up, because unless they are actually stupid they know that if they assault another man they will not be treated leniently, regardless of any difference in strength. A lot of women have small dog syndrome and expect to be able to assault men without retaliation.

The incidents described by the feminist in the post actually are rather gender equal. It's true, the men are returning slaps that probably aren't going to threaten is life (assuming she doesn't escalate, because assaults only ever deescalate on their own right?) with actual punches. The men in these videos are escalating, but they're doing exactly what they would do if it was some 5 foot nothing 90 pound man doing the exact same thing, and frankly, that is their right.

And yes, I'm going to enjoy watching the small dog get exactly what she invited. Equality is so often applied selectively, equality when it helps women, equality not necessary if it doesn't help women. Seeing real equality is refreshing. Maybe someday I'll get to see the rarest form of equality: equality that actively and intentionally helps men, rather than settling for equality that doesn't help women. Baby steps.

What I find disgusting is often these videos have been edited down to show the woman abusing the man verbally / physically for a few seconds followed by the man lashing out.

But often the unedited video will show the abuse from the woman carrying on for multiple minutes before the man has finally had enough and lashes out.

Case in point there was a twitch streamer who was playing Fortnight, His partner yelled at him to help get setup for dinner and he said "After this match"
Anyway she comes in and starts yelling at him for a few minutes, then when he ignores her she escalates to throwing things at him from off screen.

He eventually snaps, gets up and hits her off screen to which she starts crying.

He got absolutely lambasted when this happened.
but NO ONE even brought up the fucking abuse that his partner was inflicting upon him.

But for me, the thing that burns my blood is how Feminists makes violence against women a high profile issue but seem to ignore things like this that show that yes, women DO engage in violence as well.

Worse, despite knowing how horrible violence is they will do all they can to justify women being violent towards men while still using the shield of "Women couldn't possibly hurt men in the way men can hurt women"

But i've seen videos of a woman going feral on her partner, drawing blood with her talon like fingernails and doing a considerable amount of 'damage'
Not only that but I think we heavily discount / ignore the utter emotional damage that they cause when they can outright abuse men verbally / physically in public and the man has no recourse but to stand there and take it.

How many videos have we seen of men 'walking away' and the woman follows along and continues attacking him?
And then he finally snaps and hits her.

But the end result is we talk about how awful the man is for hitting her?

Its time to end the double standard.

Violence is Violence and we need to start holding women accountable as we would hold men accountable.

She isn't saying that men shouldn't defend themselves she is saying that if you get a light slap don't throw a punch and send them to the hospital, instead, slap them back. I'm not defending her because I don't agree with her but I think you didn't really understand her. Btw I think it's totally ok to hit them hard even if they didn't, you are trying to end the fight as fast as possible, If you don't hit her hard enough she will keep fighting and will also hit you harder because she is now extra angry at you because you hit her back, so just try to end the fight as soon as possible. Sorry for the bad English, English isn't my first language.

I saw that and thought what a silly take, so many wrong assumptions and so many flaws in the argument.

Firstly, no hitting anyone first. Doesn't matter if you are a man hitting a woman, woman hitting a man, woman hitting a woman, or a man hitting a man, (and yes show in all the trans options too). If you hit someone first, then you are a fool.

Secondly, if you are dumb enough to hit someone first (especially a bigger stronger person), do not cry victim when they smash you back.

Women need to stop thinking they can hit a man first without being hit back. White Knights need to understand that "coming to a woman's rescue" only increases her risk. She will learn that when she hits a man, if he hits back, a dozen simps will come and beat him up. If you are a White Knight who beats up a man after he has been hit, then hand in your "man card" Also, don't be surprised when someone like me will pull you off him to stop the fight and if you hit me I will use non-lethal force to break your bones to stop you.

The assumption that men want to hit women is false and untrue.

Please, women, be sensible, stop thinking that it is OK to hit a man first and not suffer any consequences. Is your conflict resolution skills so woeful and pathetic that violence is your solution?

The first thing anyone learns with any martial arts is that it is better to talk your way out than get into a fight. If you decided to initiate a fight against a more powerful opponent, then expect to get hurt. People only retaliate to protect themselves.

I think the issue here is that the violence from the woman is permitted to be for any cause, first contact and unprovoked (physically). But the feminist response requires men to have, in a split second, full consideration of why she might have done it, the proportionality of a response, the need to calculate an equivalent amount of force, could he de-escalate and walk away? Etc etc. And you are supposed to calculate all of this in the instant after you have been assaulted. Why? Because we’re bigger.

You don’t see smaller men slapping bigger men because they have the sense to understand the law of the jungle. The issue here isn’t men wanting to hit women, the issue here is women want to hit men and have everything that happens after that be the man’s responsibility. No. You take a swing, what happens next is on you. Do I believe a person needs to get sent to the hospital for a slap? No. If they do end up in hospital is it their own fault? Yes.

TL;DR - Don’t hit people.

If a woman slaps a man, even if she didn't intend to do any real damage, he's not going to think

I really don't see where you're getting any of this. I agree with her, it's a huge overreaction to punch someone full force in the head for a slap. I personally would only fight back if I felt like I was in actual danger of physical harm, especially since a bear hug would solve the issue 9 times out of 10. Accusing her of saying men shouldn't fight back is a flat out lie. Twisting someone's word or mis representing it entirely is not just dishonest but it actively damages our credibility and image.

I somewhat agree! Self defense against a man or woman should be proportional. If a guy smacks you on the head you don’t now have a justification to commit serious injury or permanent harm to the person.

It’s amazing how triggered these MRA subs get.

All she said was that the response should be equal to the initial aggravating action and that she’s upset when she sees a video with “such an insane overreaction in that moment.” Seems pretty reasonable. Her example was a man who gave a girl a concussion over a light slap, and a woman who was skull punched when she had her back turned and was walking away. Who is out here trying to defend something like this?

There’s also the other element to this, which is that it’s filmed and put online for men to get some sort of cathartic experience by watching a woman get knocked unconscious after “a light slap across the cheek.” I really don’t know why any sub would try and defend that kind of YouTube content.

Look - you don’t have to agree with her take, but to label her post as “why men should not try to defend themselves against physical violence of women” is just dishonest.

The funny thing is that for these feminists, gender differences can only mean disadvantages of women, just like in the Gender gap report of WEF.

And so, advantages of women can never even be conceived much less acknowledged.

And thus for them equality is a one way street. "I get to hit you with all my strength but God forbids you do the same. But we're equal..."
