Because people are afraid to call them anything but that publicly. Most women are great people and sympathetic, so are most men. You are just not allowed to call out the large chunks of bad people on the right side of the chromosomal spectrum out for parasitic behaviour. Heck, even horrible people that openly and proudly profit off the backs of regular working people like Feinstein, von der Leyen, Pelosi, Lagarde, etc. are portrayed as saints.

But you can shit on any man you want for any reason and no one will bat an eye. You fuck with some working class Joe and people will film it and have a laugh, what a riot. The people with the most empathy are those that you can openly treat like shit and they will still forgive you and continue doing a honest job to the betterment of society. Those kind of people get zero respect because bullying good people is the norm.

Just look how the average male dominated fields in this exact position are treated (police officers, road workers, garbage workers, sewage workers, construction workers, mechanics, etc.) by the public and how normal it is to hate. Yet many of these people still keep doing their job to keep many basic societal functions operational. Men numbing out their emotional space to keep sane is seen as a lack of empathy instead of a complete lack of empathy towards them.

It's a combination of the halo fallacy and confirmation bias. People assume that women are more compassionate because they are told that women are more compassionate, and then when they see women be compassionate, that reinforces their idea that women are more compassionate. Society also assumes often that women are simply more mature or responsible than men, when the reality is that they are typically only slightly more mature/responsible than men in some ways(typically due to having more access to sex and being approached by older men) while also being completely immature/irresponsible in most other ways.

It could be that women are simply more manipulative or placating(effectively hiding their apathy by passing it off as something more palpable. For example, when women judge men by their appearance, they may not outright say that they are judging men by their appearance(which would create negative responses), they will just say that they are judging unattractive men by their confidence which is considered socially acceptable despite the obvious correlation between their appearance and their confidence.

It could also be because most men don't really call out bad behaviors from women, either because they are not in a position to do so or because there would be some very heavy lash back against them if they did so. I think most men know and understand that women are far from being the most empathetic gender, if not by the experiences they have had with women then by how they see women act towards a lot of the men around them. It could also simply be that most people are oblivious, indifferent or accepting of the ways in which women mistreat and misjudge men. I often see men react to female apathy/sociopathy with this shrug, "girls will be girls, just gotta move on" attitude.

They aren't, not really, it's just what people have been brainwashed into believing. Back in the patriarchal days the more paternalistic, nice-guy patriarchs decided to make women feel better about their supposed intellectual -- and their not so supposed physical -- inferiority by saying, in effect, "Take heart, ladies. For even though thou art stupid and weak, thou art by far kinder, more compassionate, and closer to the angels than us mere men." They meant well, but as often happens with good intentions, they paved a road to hell -- in this case, a gynocentric hell.

Because it's in line with how we evolved. Women are the more sympathetic sex, that's just the way it is. Obviously that doesn't mean every woman is more sympathetic than every man, but nobody is making that claim.

Women tend to score higher on the agreeableness scale of the Big 5. When you think of sympathy or "emotional intelligence," it's really just agreeableness, insofar as "emotional intelligence" is a real thing (it's mostly just a made up term). Men are also better at standing up for ourselves, on average, in part because we tend to score lower in agreeableness than women.

That being said, here's a huge caveat: Modern western women have been raised in such a way that they can't sympathize with masculine problems. What do you think happens when you raise boys and girls in a culture that says we're totally equal to one another? If boys are equal to girls, then their are no problems unique to boys, so if it's not a problem a western girl could expect to struggle with, she's going to be taught to ignore it or victim-blame.

I think the world has changed too fast for humans to keep up. Women still think they're tender, feminine creatures, delicate, and men are MUCH stronger... Which, until the Millennials, was mostly true. Supposedly, men and women are so similar in strength these days, there is not much difference between them any more. Girls do MMA, kickboxing, weight lifting, no problem. Men need to do the same to push ahead - "still pumped from using the mouse" doesn't cut it. But we don't catch up to the facts for a generation or two, and women have an inmate "fear of men" because "men are stronger and can be violent."

The mothers want to make their sons into the men Mom wanted to marry, too. All too often now, that means there's been some feminization of the mind, especially in the single mother family.

So mom is trying to make a Good Man, which means, he bows to the feminine imperative. Mom doesn't understand she's emasculated him, only that she has "civilized" him... But when her emotions boil over, that's OK... And the son ends up cleaning up that mess as well.

You'll need to go back to summaries, at least, of the classics, like Iron John, King Warrior Magician Lover, and more recently things like Rollo Tomassi's Rational Male, I believe it was. Until very recently, a man could assert dominance by yelling or slapping the wall or table, or even leaving. Now, ANY behavior he does is abusive, and even if she does the same thing, it's Excused. She did it because Man Bad. This is the Duluth Wheel of Interpartner violence, I believe it's called. (Duluth Wheel will get you the behaviors.)

Also, since women can now get ego boosts from around the world, every day, with ZERO effort, while.men can't get sexual attention from more than maybe 10% of the female population... Totally skewed market. Those numbers are from an OK Cupid survey, I believe; theory is, it's getting worse. All a woman has to say is DTF, and she's got ten plus suitors. A man can't attract that attention even if he has everything perfect. She'll notice the tailored suit, how he moves, the polished shoes, the Rolex watch, that he has a wingman or two with him, but she's NOT "That kind of girl," she has to test him... And he may not even see her. But she can't put herself out there, can't be too Forward, it's not ladylike!

As women have gained more and more social power, they're removed more and more men from having a place in society. And as women mostly wait at the finish line for winners of the race, they don't even understand the sheer amount of work that went into coming in 6th place, let alone First. She CANNOT believe that, because everyone is so nice to her! She gets help and encouragement all the time... My encouragement from my father was a slap in the back of the head. But my younger sister could do no wrong... A 15 year age gap, there, mind.

You want confirmation of that last part, look for the book, "Self Made Man," by Norah Vincent. She's a feminist lesbian who wanted to find the "male privilege," and found... There is none. In fact, she checked herself into a mental Ward after she did her research living a year as a man, because she was worried she would harm herself.

So it's not like this is a secret....

Women just have ZERO empathy, and lie really well. Because casting themselves as victims makes men do what the women want... it's worked since before we had spoken language. Hopefully, we find a way to set ourselves before this GD government (USA, FJB!!!!) ruins what is left of the country. Because if we go down the world falls into chaos. Google "too big to fail," look up "just in time inventory," consider what happens when JIT misses a shipment... Like what's happening now, with Empty Shelves Biden... What happens when there's no food available? Or clothes, blankets, diapers, medicines? The Elites won't have supply chain problems, they have People to handle that...

Time to nut up and do what must be done...

If you want someone to sympathize with you, ask a woman. If you want help and advice, ask a man. Men are problem solvers. Women are nurturing. I think it depends on what you want when seeking help.

Women tend to exhibit more compassion, sympathy, and nurturing qualities because of estrogen. It's in their nature because they bear childen, this makes biological sense. But these good traits are not necessarily used TOWARD men. That is women at their best. We all know how women can be at their worst. Women also tend to be more secretive and manipulative. There are many good women out there. There are many bad ones as well.

Bad can also be a relative term; they can be great to their families but horrible to men. I met a woman online, we were friends, chatted, until she turned on me and accused me of being someone else and sending people to "spy" on her. She said vile twisted shit. She was batshit crazy. I decided to Google her and I checked out her Facebook. I found out she was a business owner, a fixture in my local community, and had a loving family. It's scary how unstable people can be, especially the so-called 'fairer sex.'

I don't know how true this is, but I read that women can compartmentalize better. I would assume this makes them more equipped to have affairs and better able to rationalize their infidelity. That doesn't seem very compassionate, rather but calculated.

I think it comes down to trust. A woman knows that she gave birth. A man may doubt the loyalty or oath between he & his partner. Mental disorders that revolve around paranoia or trust issues can be repaired once they are discovered. The key is having couples on the same page…. Being sober really helps…. Etc

Some women are more compassionate, some men are more compassionate. I for one have learned that just because she's a woman doesn't make her automatically the more compassionate person as many relationships I was in ended due to a lack of sympathy and compassion on her part.

The difference between experimental data on compassion and the public perception of how much women as a group have is down to how much we all wish to believe they are, themselves included, no matter how true it is or not.

it came from the the patriarchy which hammered in stereotypes for both men and women. men in power set an expectation for both women and men. women were supposed to be caregiving caretakers made for housework, men were supposed to be the strong providers.

but all in all, it's natural to feel more comfortable with your own gender because of the societal divide between men, women and other.
