I don’t really feel that strongly about him, but think the negative response is stemming from this potentially reinforcing the idea that it isn’t even being objectively attractive anymore that leads to romantic success. It’s just the perception of being desired instead. I’d say a big part of who he is as a public figure is just the list of women he’s dated before, that’s his brand.

Pete Davidson’s inexplicable appeal implies that the primary driver for attraction is turning into whether or not a man is wanted by OTHER women, which I can kind of understand is a frustrating notion.
