As an exPUA, the most difficult part was to overthink every single aspect of reality as to how it relates to women being like this and men being like that. Maybe this overlaps with RP too.

The dehumanization of women made it difficult to form relationships. It made it feel like there was this constant pressure to always approach women and work on your game, and never accept no for an answer.

The aftermath of RP is way more difficult. Coming to terms with the pain you’ve caused others. Realizing your predatory behavior and thought patterns and figuring out how to recover from that. I still struggle with it years later.

Feeling like i couldn't love because after all women are just pretty much portrayed as pieces of shit, and feeling like i couldn't be loved because women only see you as a commodity of sorts.

Paranoia about women and relationships.

According to the RP women are illogical in nature, and even if they mean well they will sooner or later leave you or cheat on you if youre not the hypermasculine alpha rock, because they cant help it and "cant be blamed for their nature". They use absolute oversimplifications, backed by anegdotal evidence and use only fans models on podcasts to validate their claims.

In reality, humans as a whole are extremely complex, women are individuals and men and women arent as different as the RP will make it out to be. It mostly goes down to social constructs, childhood, education, intelligence, social conditioning and overall preferences that dictate who is who and who is attracted to what. Not just gender.

(Humans as a whole are illogical and emotional in nature, not just women, but that doesnt mean shit as we are intelligent species and most of us dont just react on impulse now do we?)

For men who arent basically James Bond, it puts you in a state of having to be inauthentic and basically playing a character until you become the character, "fake it till you make it or you'll be forever alone" type of thing, in RP conversations about relationships you dont talk about shared values, compatibility, understanding, compassion, vulneravility, deep emotional connection, trust, communication, the things that are essential for a long term healthy relationship and an overall ability to be good partners to one another, its all about the sexual aspect and 1950's gender roles. The only thing thats mentioned is respect, but their idea of respect is gaslighting women and manipulating them in order to get the respect in the relationship.

Of course if someone wants to be traditional to the 1950's as long as its all consensual its all good ig. But to say its all that there has to be, or else it wont work, and each of the parties have to play a character of societal expectations. In reality, there is a market in dating for any type of person and its all about finding someone whos compatible with you, shares your values and goals and is able to accept you for who you are, and vice versa, love is expressed in different ways by different kinds of people, but nah, love isnt real according to the RP because women are biologically programmed to be the receivers and are hypergamous, and arent capable of being life partners because theyre too illogical and emotional and will lose attraction to you once they see you have human emotions, or if they understand theres people who are more alpha than you.

And so you lose hope in love and women, you become bitter and paranoid and extremely burnt out because of constant work towards becoming someone youre not meant to be, and therefore you attract the wrong people, and arent able to deliver because youre not being authentic and true to yourself and who youre really looking for.

Never forget how complex we are, the AWATH is the biggest bs you can ever believe.

Theres a ton of other negative aspects to the RP, but that one was the main thing for me, Ive already ranted in a long message so Imma cut it here lol.

So, firstly, "RP tactics on women" is a phrase that distinctly implies PUA. So, I don't know what the "even PUA" portion of that opening clause is for if that's one of your guesses.

It was probably suppressing emotions, but not in the way you think. MGTOW encourages you to re-invent your shame and sit in it like its pride.

PUA made me see every attractive female as a target or a number rather than a human being.

This also bled over to relationships where I'd play mind games to have more power in the relationship i.e. the old PUA adage that "whoever cares the least wins"

I've since healed from all that years ago and am in a happy relationship with my dream woman.

I will say though that PUA also taught me social skills, how to project confident body language, and got me started on my self improvement journey which has led me to succeed as an entrepreneur.

Overall it was a great learning experience

As an asexual, I have to say that pick up artist stuff is the most gross shit I’ve read about lol.

I don’t have any hunger for sex, but some of those guys must be fucking monsters to think resorting to such dirty and unethical tactics are worthwhile.

The fathoms men go for sex always remind me just how incredibly blessed and lucky I am to be immune.
