Haha, yeah, SMV sucks and is stupid as a term for one central reason.

It ignores the reality of sexuality which is that people like a variety of things, and there is no clear value system. It is not that x is better than y, but that x is different than y. Just as men are often attracted to many different types of women at once, women have the same feelings.

This becomes very apparent when you look at celebrities.

Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Salma Hayek, Ashley Graham, and Rubi Rose are considered attractive, and they all look different.

Red pill gurus access to women and relationships near exclusively from clout sharking, dating apps, sugar babying, and clubs. It's not really shocking given such extremely low context interactions that they looks and money as the being the only things that matter. That's basically it. Isn't really much else to it.

I would just love to know what the people who use those terms imagine that relationship looks like. archie bunker type life or whatever? something out of succession? just absolutely zero thought as to if they would even want to spend years on end with someone just because a bunch of guys who AREN'T YOU pulled out the metaphorical skull calipers and decided a very specific genre of beautiful but troubled women (we're not even gonna go into the inner lives of these ladies but suffice it to say, they're probably pretty layered in a way redpill never considers!) is it.

What bothers me with the SMV hypothesis is that those who parrot it, forget about the market forces truly work.

If women are the product to be acquired in said market place, it makes sense for the seller of the product (the women) to advertise themselves in the markets where they'll do best.

But when one presents this market force to those parroting SMV hypothesis, those proponents get the Shocked Pikachu Face.

It seems like a good way to describe how more people are attracted to me when I’ve been taking care of myself and had a few significant "wins" recently, or people attracting more prospects after improving their grooming. I don't get hung up on the "marketplace" word perhaps.

I do not consider myself red-pilled by any means but SMV and RMV seem like good descriptors for observable phenomena. I also think in bell-curve distributions both recreationally and for a living.

Marketplace value only works if you can quantify the transactions. Except the 1-10 scale which is questionable. Calling the dating scene a SMV is just plain wrong.

I think there are plenty of people that can't tbh. Which is fine. Because most people are simpler than they probably ought to be in their decision tree.

It's pretty tragic. By avoiding feelings you'll build up an existentially irrelevant toolkit. You're going to get depressed for sure. You become what you do. Love is an ability. It doesn't just happen, you need to develop it. That can suck, but it'll always further you.

And once you get their it doesn't really matter that much anymore if someone feels the same way or not. Because it's something you can give that they don't want. So it stays with you. You literally lose nothing. It's only through pre-existing over-reliance on the other that the deep hurt happens that people seek to avoid.

But it's just a marker that you're not emotionally developed enough yet to get into those situations... basically. Everything you give yourself you now longer need from others.
