My boyfriend is graduating and I’m going to his graduation ceremony - I will also be meeting his family. Things are very serious between us and I will be travelling to the USA for a week (yes we’ve met in person before, he came here).

I didn’t know what to wear for his graduation and sent him a selection of dresses. He had already suggested I wear blue so we can coordinate. I was quite surprised by the one he picked, it’s a wide V neckline off the shoulder and is a soft A line past the knee. It’s very classy and simple but in an elegant way.

I originally ordered it in a light blue but it did not suit me and completely washed me out. He loved the fit but agreed that the colour was wrong. They sell the same dress in navy and when I showed him the picture he liked it much more than the original colour I bought.

I think I partly feel a bit of a wobble because I have tattoos that will be visible (that I’d love to get removed but I sadly got when I was peak bad decisions Betty).

Secondly, and this is the stupidest thing ever I know, I was surprised he didn’t pick something a bit more figure hugging. I sent him some dresses that were more fitted and I guess a bit more sexy without being revealing and I was just… surprised he didn’t pick one of those. I know rationally why but I was… surprised? I think I assumed he’d want me to look hot on his arm lol

Maybe I’m just put off because the original colour didn’t suit me and I’m worried I won’t look right in the navy

Anyway please tell me to stop my nonsense and just order the damn dress!
