talk to a lawyer and work on a exit plan.

then figure out where you’ll stay if you don’t leave the martial home and have a place you can go at least in mind if she goes nuclear.

Waited for the kids to go to school. Keys in pocket, guns locked up. Back to door. "We have had this conversation many times. I am not having it anymore and I am filling for divorce." Soon as the begging and gaslighting started I walked out the door and went and did just that.

I handed her a copy of the divorce petition that my lawyer had filed earlier that day after the kids had gone to bed. Don't tip your hand ahead of time and give her time to formulate false DV accusations, hide/dissipate assets, strategize with a lawyer etc. She is no longer your wife, she is your opponent in the most important and difficult lawsuit you will ever have to deal with and you need to treat her as such.

Do not tell the kids until things are very close to final agreement in court. Have you had conversations about how bad things have gotten with her?
