I struggle with depression (the mental imbalance stuff my life is going okay enough) and ADHD.

I went from being on track to graduate a rigorous STEM degree in two years (not the easy ones like bio yk), heading three of my own research projects under "big name" professors (prominent and published in their field), being at a decent shape where I'd get comments on how I look about 1-2x a week from people I don't know, and having a social group to almost failing out of college, becoming obese, quitting research and struggling to find a job.

I struggled with depression for a long while but I was still able to live a successful life because I wanted things. I wanted to win or be successful or just wanted the joy of discovering what I can do.

Now, I'm both depressed and have somehow forgotten what it's like to actually want anything. Nothing gives me pleasure and I don't feel like I have goals or aims in life.

Everything feels pointless.

I think this might be a bit hard to relate to as people who are on this sub tend to be driven and passionate, but I used to be like that and for some reason am not like that anymore.

How can I change? How do I be better again?
