Straight guy here, been kind of lonely recently and been going to men hobby groups, stuff like magic the gathering and d&d and the men there are so nice and supportive. When I go to a game night everybody acts excited to see me, we all swap social media and numbers, it was just such a weird alien feeling to me to be validated like that after a very long unsupportive relationship I was in. My partner always acted so disinterested in everything I did, never validated me on any level. I felt like I was just some tool, a means to an end. I went back on the dating market, and Im totally open for any kind of relationship with other women, including just basic friendship. Its ok if they don't want to date me, but why is there absolutely no engagement? Talk to me about the books you read recently, current events, science theories, anything! But when I try to engage with women that way I just feel so many cold shoulders like there is something deeply fundamentally wrong with me as a person. Ive had a lot of guy roommates throughout the years and its like they cling to me! All of them still keep in touch with me, some even still want to be roommates with me! I just wonder all the time why Im treated so differently by men vs women!
