People who spout this always have a hard time understanding the difference between 'being scared' and 'being in danger'.

It really baffles me that these people do not understand that their emotions and feelings are a them problem. It isn't the fault of these 'men' that she doesn't feel safe. It is her own mind that has these fucked up idea's of what these men could do to her that makes her feel that way. 'Men' aren't responsible for her fantasies, all those fucked up things she's thinking is 100% her.

And? I am a man and while I do not give in to this degree of paranoia and do you think I always feel safe? I don't but I also can use some spare brain power to assess whether the danger was real at all (it never was). It's quite funny how the same type of people frowns upon "genderisation of traits/roles" and at the same time just automatically assume that only a woman can be afraid to walk alone.

Love how people like this think men can't grasp this experience. We're the majority of homicide and aggravated assault victims, but the difference is that we don't generalise half the planet as potential attackers because they happen to share genital configuration. We fear criminals, not "men", we fear the violent, not a race or a gender or a sexuality.

I mean really, it's such an animalistic primitive response. An individual poses a threat, so you take a completely irrelevant physical attribute as the reason behind this threat, then apply that reasoning to everyone with the aforementioned attribute. That's exactly the kind of broken logic that has caused every single instance of xenophobia, racism, homophobia etc. I don't know where this ridiculous idea came from that this train of thought suddenly works if the target happens to appear higher on some imagined list of social hierarchy governed by woefully incomplete data.

For anyone curious, you should never put your keys between your fingers, that just rips the skin and makes defending yourself harder.

You use your longest key as a shank (Hold it between your thumb and pointer), preferably aiming for the eyes, ears, nose, or neck. Stab anywhere you can of course, but try to go for the closest sensitive/vital bits first and foremost.

Most women are probably not women. Especially the older ones, who just never had a phone with which to make a fake phone-call.

Most people have done some of this, but doing exactly all of those makes it unlikely. I've holden peper-spray, which isn't in her list, but some others I didn't do.
