Let them be pissed. Their mind is on you and not the guys feeding them attention instead of doing their own thing. The same things that make them mad keep them attracted.

If you are interested in them and want to keep seeing them. Just a simple response like, I am with friends right now, or I am busy right now. Is enough. But just blowing them off is not good and they will keep bugging you. But if you let them know you cannot reply at the moment then they will understand.

This is actually a two fold question.

The person/people I am spending time with in person get the priority for attention. I’m not avoiding or ignoring you, I’m giving my full attention to the people who are in front of me, face to face.

If she cannot appreciate that this would also apply to her, well, I’ll let you form your own opinion here.

To answer the second, hidden part of that question:

If I’m spending time with someone, like a date, I’ll avoid using my phone unless it involves the two of us. If she uses hers, after a couple of times, I’ll explain my position on avoiding phone use, and ask for the same in return. If she cannot handle that, my interest wanes.

Negative inquiry. I don't understand what about me being too busy to respond straight away is wrong?

Or joke with it. Or set boundary of saying I'm busy so with not always respond straight away.
