You could also go to the beach but some girls are really shy and dont like being in a bikini. Maybe invite her to go at night and have a bonfire.

EDIT: I forgot to mention stuff like the Zoo (buy her a stuffed animal of her favorite animal), Disneyland, Legoland, theme parks with rollercoaster rides and stuff like that.

Why not? A conversation between 2 people attracted to each other isn't fun? Keep it simple. Go for tea/coffee/a drink. At least if we're talking about the first few dates. Obviously when you get in to it you can do wilder stuff.

You're dead on...that's not gonna land any woman with a pulse.

Be creative. Live in a city or large metropolitan area? Dinner and a stroll. Most cities have promenades or large well lit walking areas with a street vendor or two. Ice cream or even a balloon guy. Make sure you make her feel safe and be attentive as you walk along.

If your lucky and live in the country. Enjoy nature that way too. Mountain views or creeks/rivers with sunsets. I mean...come on dude! Take pictures of her enjoying the surroundings!

Hell, I one took a girl on a date on a water tower. Dinner and then we watched the sunset from an old water tower. Just talking and laughing. She still talks about how great that was. So you know I had to marry her....almost 20 years ago.

Works on many levels. Girls like to pick outfits. Also this is something that one would expect from an intimate partner so in her mind you’re creating this scenario that you’ll are intimate. Then there is that psychological effect where when a person does something for you, they end up liking you more.

Date ideas for a guy that isn't really social?

Just to clarify, what do you actually mean by "not social?"

Is this the way you've been in all social situations since you have been a kid? Even in grade school or kindergarten?

Basically the title. I cant really take a girl home for a date (would be super weird for a first date anyway).

Besides your personal discomfort, what makes your home off-limits?

Look, here's the deal. You meet someone to find out if you get along with them. And while one can make a practice out of trying to find "special things" to do for dates, honestly, it's not about what you do, but who you're with and how you interact with them.

The problem seems to be that you're really rusty socially. Uncomfortable in general with socializing. There's no date idea that can address this.

But getting used to meeting new people on a regular basis can help you build up your social skills, which will make dates a little easier.

So i was thinking going to an event of some sort but i dont really feel comfortable around those things so if you have any ideas i would be glad to hear them.

If you're at this level of discomfort about simply going to a social event, I'd say that doing what you can to address this might be the first thing to tackle.

before you say "do what you like" it is a bit complicated because i like to watch youtube or movies and i like to do sport of any kind (boxing, football are my favourite). those arent typically things you can do on a first date.... am i right?

There are times when you can lean on your interests for ideas in situations like these.

However, it's important to not be stagnant in life and try new things.

And I'm telling you right now, if your interests are confined to watching videos and sports like boxing or football that don't lend well with meeting people in a coed setting, then your options are:

Try new things and see what else you might like
Keep doing the same things and remain socially isolated.
