Uh, she sounds like a nightmare dude. Good riddance.

It’s easy to see interest in a girl that you’re interested in. I would go with what she said to other people versus what she did in your presence. If anyone, man or woman, can’t be honest with you, they’re not worth your time.
[–]gangweedsavedme 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Literally just stop contacting her, be disinterested in all of your interactions, be too busy for her, she’s not worth your time bruh.
[–]hysterical_witch 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She is confused af herself don't take it personally I hope you recover
[–]SignalSecurity 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah that's some abnormally two-faced bullshit. You are better off without her. It's unfair, it's okay to be upset that it was unfair. Accept the hurt, ride it out, and know that you deserve to walk away from this more than she deserves a second chance.
The trick is not to invest yourself so much into other people. I'm not saying "don't ever be vulnerable again", that's actually the most dangerous reaction to emotional hurt. But make sure to understand and acknowledge - you can walk away from anybody and anything if it hurts you. Most everything in life is replaceable. You get to dictate what is right for you, and you will always be able to find the right person for you.
That being said, this may not exactly be the best subreddit for this. It's more for navigating adult socialization than managing emotional baggage. I'm not saying that to gatekeep - I'm just worried you're going to attract the wrong kind of advice for dealing with this, or worse, listen to it. This sub has many good people but it also has
"Woah, bruh, that's gnarly, why'd you let that hole step on your balls like that? A true Alpha Male™ would have spit in her mouth from across the room for daring to make eye contact with you without permission...I'm gonna have to log this as a beta male interaction in my sex journal, sorry bro."
You really don't want to internalize John Nightgame's take on a serious relationship and the nuances of gaslighting.
You may appreciate relationshipadvice or internetparents for more consistent/focused support and critique.

Where I come from they say, never put your trust where women and money are involved.
You took her words literally, rookie mistake. I have chicks saying 'i love you' and I know if I fuck up tomorrow she's never gonna text back again.. it's all about how you dance! (Metaphorically speaking)
Listen to her but never take her words for what they are. Look for Patterns. One thing is true, women mostly don't lie but they beat around the bush like a mf! so you gotta keep your eyes and ears open at all times.
[–]Sunderstood 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She is doing something called backwards rationalizing. Girls do this all the time when they are into a guy at one point, the girl loses interest, then she convinces herself that she never really liked you to begin with. Things like telling herself that you were the one who always started the conversation, that you are just classmates, etc.
You may never find out what it is about you that made her lose interest but that's just the way the game goes.
It could also be that the person she told these things to doesn't like you, and your crush doesn't want to look bad by saying that she doesn't dislike you. It's like if you're in a group of friends and everyone is talking about how much they don't like a certain TV show, you feel inclined to go along with it and agree and come up with your own reasons why you agree with them.
[–]PhoenixBln 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
i know it hurts. everypone's been through similar situations. yours is specially fucked up. the girl is. not you. you seem to be a caring, sensitive person who should be treated much better.
some people, men and women, play with your heart, with your emotions. you are lucky if you don't see her anymore. you will find better people and women.
[–]scenesick2 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
instead of chasing someone that clearly said so many bad things behind your back, why don't you look for someone who actually likes you? It sucks but it's not the end of the world.
[–]YamiYugi23 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I didn’t know about this during the chasing process
Just found out now
This information is so hard to take in because some things don’t make sense
She would hide from me in different libraries but always asked me through text if I wanted to go study with her
[–]dodged_that_one 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Don't play a role in her drama.
The thing about crushes is that they are not based on much actual information, but from an idealised perception of a person. Now you've seen her up close, she's not an attractive package and isn't worth your time and you should not let her influence your feelings, that's giving her power to which she is not entitled.
The best thing you can do is ignore her and move on. It doesn't matter whether she led you on or not, she's not someone you want in your life.
If you do somehow get backed into a corner and have to say something, be honest. "I did have a crush on you, but our date cured that."
[–]YamiYugi23 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
💯💯💯💯
I agree with everything
It’s just hard to move on when everyone asking us why we don’t speak to each other and she told yeh story to one person and I lost my friend and we all have the same friend I’m probably going to get kicked out the group
All because she’s a girl that acts shy and innocent and cry’s when she tells her story
[–]dodged_that_one 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Girls always get the benefit of the doubt and attractive girls get forgiven for a lot of sins before it hurts them socially.
Take the high road. Tell your friend that you still want to be friends and you're not going to tell them who to be friends with or not. You can make a joke of the date with the girl, saying on the one hand it was a great date because you got to know her a lot better, on the other hand it made you sure you didn't want another. No, you won't go into details because you don't want to spoil their friendship with the girl.
[–]YamiYugi23 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I never got to ask her out on a date
She rejected my walk invitation I was going to ask her out at the end of the walk
[–]dodged_that_one 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Right, I inferred too much from a couple of your initial points.
Same goes though. As you've got to know her better, you've lost interest. Don't go into details because you don't want to ruin their friendship or drama. If they're worth anything as a friend they'll accept that and will keep being friendly. If not, you've rid yourself of a crush that wilted in the cold light of day and a friendship that was only superficial. They won't feel like it, but both are wins.
[–]RegretsNothing1 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Damn, she walked all over you.
[–]YamiYugi23 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I can’t lie she did
I learnt a lot and it will never happen again I will ask for the date quicker next time that why I know the answer
[–]YMCA111122 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wow what an awful person, you definitely dodged a bullet, also it's not your fault she lied to you, that's on her.
[–]ThatGuy_Nick9 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like she wanted a Juice to her Wrld. This whole thing gives me late HS/College Freshman vibes. I wouldn’t say “dramatic” but did you actually like her? She doesn’t sound like a high quality human being if you know what I mean
[–]YamiYugi23 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeh but the thing is I didn’t know the real her until I interacted with her
From the outside perspective she seemed amazing
She was quite, shy, a good cook, a scholarship student and when sex scenes come on in movies she would cover her eyes she seemed so innocent and sweet but obviously her whole personality is a facade
[–]ThatGuy_Nick9 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah these are the things that come with juice worshippers
[–]YamiYugi23 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I guess you not wrong 😑
[–]ThatGuy_Nick9 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Head up, king. You’ll meet tons of better people in college. Keep meeting new people and enjoy yourself. Don’t forget to study
[–]PrimeTone 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She's crazy, move along. I'm sorry you went through this. There's a good reason why, as a man, you should be reserved with your true feelings. People will see your weaknesses and target them. Women want to peel back the layers of your personality, so if you go ahead and tell them your fears and desires, they lose interest pretty quick.
DO NOT try to build a relationship for your partner, trying to do and provide all the things she might want. Don't be paying for lots of dates, buying her random shit, trying to be cute and copy hollywood stereotypes, building the relationship that you think she wants, assuming that will make her love you.
DO go and work for the relationship that YOU want. Understand your own wants and desires, but do not wear your heart on your sleeve. Pursue your own goals, and be kind and enthusiastic. Positive qualities are infectious to like-minded people, and repulsive to toxic ones, because they see their own shadow in your light.
[–]sewsaysew 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
She didn’t lead you on. You had a different idea of the relationship in your head than she did, and you’re acting like you’re entitled to a relationship with her. And you’re not. You are not entitled to anything. Literally nothing. Move on. And next time, try having a conversation instead of creating a fantasy in your head.
[–]sohang-3112 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Her actions towards the OP do seem to indicate some level of interest. Of course, that interest could have been faked, but that would be her fault.
[–]Ok_Razzmatazz_1751 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Crushes are fleeting , maybe she did like you but then the attraction just went away . Happens when young
[–]ceswk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My friend just man up and let it go . You shouldn't have asked for the details on what she said behind your back. You do not need to know.
You are a man, a dangerous war machine. You do not give a fuck about a girl's bitchy ways. You do your own thing, if you see she avoids you just leave her right there, go for another girl . She is just not that important .
[–]playingandrealityxxx 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You're simping, hard.
The most attractive thing you can do right now is cut her out and ignore her.
[–]YamiYugi23 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You think I haven’t already cut her off
I have done it and everyone keeps asking what’s wrong between us because we have the same friends and I’ve already lost one friend and I will probably loose more because this girl personality is a facade she acts shy and innocent and always cry’s when she tells her story so everyone always symphysis with her
[–]playingandrealityxxx 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Just be an individual.
All of your internal and emotional struggles from this interaction is because you're dependent on your social circle and friends.
My advice is to branch out more. Join some different clubs, find more social circles you can bounce around to so that you don't have to care as much about what your other friends think. Stop caring that your friends sympathize with her. Stop caring why your friends ask what's happening between you two. Just move on and do things for yourself. That's what I did in college and it worked out for me.
[–]YamiYugi23 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeh it sucks a lot though because I made some really good friends and it sucks that one girl destroyed it all
There’s this is one girl who has always appreciated me and in all my life she probably appreciates me the most so it sucks im going to have to loose her it’s just she’s not sexual attractive to me which is why I never asked her on a date and just kept her as friend
I’m looking at new clubs right now that the uni has to offer thinking about basketball fashion and anime at the moment
[–]playingandrealityxxx 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Are you a freshman? If so, don't even fret about this shit.
You have so much time. It's the first month of the semester as well. People move on and shit will settle. I remember this one girl freshman year slept with her roommates boyfriend and it blew up into this whole shitty thing but then they bonded and became best friends for the rest of college.
You'll be alright
No I’m not a freshman
Im in my third year of uni not sure what’s that called in the states

I don’t understand why guys want serious relationships so badly…. maybe girls just want to have fun.
Because serious relationships are important for our wellbeing the sense of security and unconditional love helps our wellbeing.
[–]PhoenixBln 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
wow. i dont understand people who think that they can say stupid shit like this.
"why do people (!!!) want relationships?" is this seriously the question you are asking here? where someone wants help and explanation? is this the kind of human you are? this is so sad.

[–]UrFavPlayerIsBack 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I mean, all I heard was another chapter of “50 shades of grey”. Iow “how she amazed & ruined my world”. Iow just a feminine talk..
Dude. For men, first few weeks of dates are just about having fun and sex. Nothing else. Until time shows what she can be for ya, just another fwb or more than that. And she has to show, not your feelings and stuff..
But u wrote a whole poetry how you’ve been played and left on a curb. Explore your options, she’s not the one.. just another one.
[–]PhoenixBln 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
this is such a sad answer. so superficial, stupid, sexist, utterly toxic and total bullshit.
someone asked for help. you decided to give a nonsensical answer and making fun of the OP.
please, OP, don't listen to these people. some people are so disconnected from their own human self that they can just see the stereotypes. they are so traumatized, they can't see reality, aren't able to reflect on a rational, healthy basis and are just uttering the same shit, that the media tells them.
let it all out. talk about it. dont isolate yourself. but if you need it: take a break. meet new people. care for yourself. you got hurt. it's totally ok. u are human.

AND you have no ability of self-reflection.
please dude... do what you do. but PLEASE stop complaining if you meet a person, who ios exactly like you and treats you like you described for yourself. know, that YOU, only YOU, are the reason, why people behave like that to you.

Shame guilt insults shift to personal..
Dude, if u dont have arguments to discuss the TOPIC, at least keep silent and stop acting like a mad woman.. so lets not talk about who I am. That has nothing to do with OP’s situation and ur feelings. All best ✌️
[–]PhoenixBln 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
who... are you again? are you an alternative account from the op? and did you talk about the topic? with arguments and stuff? i srsly don't understand why you are defending a person like this or why you say "lets not tlk about who i am" because i didnt talk about you... unless you aren't.. superficial, stupid, selfish, utterly toxic and a very...
aaah i get it now. you feel called out. yeah. that's what i do, bra. calling superficial, utterly toxic people just like they are: toxic, superficial, etc. pp.
now please shut the f up and continue living in your toxic world.

Move on, man. People do and say things for a variety of reasons, but the point is you won't be dating her. Not should you want to anymore at this point. Just move on. You'll find someone you click with soon enough. I would advise you not to get in touch with her again. Unless she gets in touch, then just be polite like you would be to anyone. Also resist the urge to be nasty to her about the things she said. It won't get you anywhere good. It will only put you in a negative mindset and it could also help her paint you in a bad light towards other people. Just see this as a learning experience and go forth into the world with more experience.
[–]confidence_man91 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
dam buddy, I feel for you. that shit must really hurt doesn't it? when you like a girl that much and she does something like friendone you or talk shit behind your back it can really feel like she's twisting the knife. There's 2 possibilities here that i think
youve got to be really geeky or retarded looking for her to not want her friends to find out that she likes you.
