The risk you run with this is if you get into a relationship, you'd likely be over-invested in it since you have no other outlets for socializing. I know some people try to convince themselves otherwise, but good friends are important to one's mental health. If you have issues in your relationship, who are you going to talk to about it? How are you going to feel when she has a girls' night out?

Having no social life and no friends is usually sign having no confidence and social skills... from afar looking at u it will be a turn off but if she interacts with u and u actually have the confidence and social skills having no friends doesn't matter as much

Yes, because it is negative social proof. If you have no friends then maybe there is a good reason. It might be less of a problem for women who also have no social life. Obviously you aren't going to get women if you even can't or refuse to get friends in general.

I was in that position, and I'm going to try to help you even though I NEVER comment on any thread.

As you've already been told, the biggest problem there is that in the absence of other plans you will devote that proportionate share of time to your new friend or girlfriend. Which if you are handsome or cocky and funny may work out well at the beginning of the relationship but over the course of it you will start to become dependent on your new girlfriend. And two things will happen:

1- She will notice this inevitable dependency since you will only have plans with her.

2- She will lose attraction because of point number 1.

This happened to me, even though I'm an attractive guy I'm too demanding with my friendships and that leads to lose many of them. When I started with my ex she adored me, little by little I became dependent and she was losing attraction in an inversely proportional way.

End result: me crying and her telling me to be just friends. So make sure you make sure you are not always available to her or you have another option. Never be too transparent about your lonely situation, it's not the most ethical thing to do, but I wish I hadn't been so transparent about everything.

Make sure you have a life beyond dating/relationship. You need your own hobbies, reads, spots. But I’m not a woman so the proper way is to let the girls talk.

Depends on the woman. My husband only had some aquaintances when we met, no close friends. He has a couple now that he would call friends (from work). I didn't have any friends at the time either and still don't really. We're both kind of introverted anyway and it works out fine. We are each other's best friend. I've read on here that people seem to think of this as a bad thing, but it's been working for us just fine. To each their own.

For me it's not a turn off at all - because I have cool hobbies, well traveled, super interesting and fun to hang out with.

I don't need others to live an amazing life - girls sense this - because I'm confident in everything I do.

If you have no friends, no social life, and sit home and do nothing but watch TV and play video games = this isn't attractive to most girls.

Yes. It puts way too much pressure on her. Like she needs to be everything to you. Also it’s an indicator that you might get jealous if she choses to hang out with her friends over you on any particular day.

Some good points here especially about not having friends making one overinvested/clingy. another id like to add is not having friends could be a sign of an inability or unwillingness to take proper care of relationships which could be a red flag generally speaking

I feel like not having any friends is a big sign that you’re either socially anxious or a loner, both of which are not attractive qualities to other human beings in general. What you should do (I have been in the same position after moving to a new city where I knew no one) is either try to meet new people through hobbies, for me these were sports like volleyball and disc golf, or going out and essentially just cold approaching everyone, including dudes, to make friends.

For you the hobbies could be anything, climbing, hiking, sports, card shops, woodworking, drinking, lan parties, book clubs. Just think about what you like to do and could see yourself doing with others.

If you’re dealing with social anxiety just be sure to remember that everyone under the age of 40 has it because of the internet, and almost everyone desires a healthy social circle and friendship, including women.

If you’re just a naturally antisocial person that’s going to be a problem, and you should probably try to find someone who is also antisocial, as antisocial personalities will become a strain in most relationships with someone who has a normal social drive.

Having friends is preselection If someone has no friends, that is a red flag because why not? What drives people away? Best case, they are too busy for friends, so the guy will be too busy for her. Worst case, he's weird or dangerous in a nonsexy way. Looks only get you the occasional fuck and a few more seconds of attention up front. There is a reason ppl who have only looks and money, or only seek looks and money, are called "shallow"

In short through, superficial women might be attracted to you having a social life. You don’t want a woman that is dumb enough to be seduced by something like that. However if you are just trying to sleep with women that you aren’t interested in for a long term relationship, or anything serious, you might want to use superficiality to your advantage.
