I know it should be common knowledge to anyone on Seddit that overtexting is bad, but here's a recent semi-FR about a friend that illustrates why.

I went out a few weeks ago with four mutual friends: a guy and three girls. The girls are friends with each other, my guy friend had never met them before.

We party it up big time, hit a bunch of dance clubs and cool bars. My buddy really hits it off with girl B, as I had expected. They're all over each other and really clicking. Girl C jets at the end of the night. Rest of us go back to my place after closing time to drink champagne and dance some more. After a while, me and girl A go to my bedroom and leave my buddy and girl B on the couch.

The next day, my buddy confirms the F-close took place and is all about this chick. I caution him, like I always do, "don't text her too much" - because he is a chronic overtexter. He says "yeah of course" and then tells me he wants to date this chick. Good for him.

A few days later I'm like "how are things going with B?" and he tells me something like "that bitch never texted me back when I asked her out!"

Anyway I bumped into girl A at the grocery store today, and I ask her why girl B and my boy never went out after that?

She says, verbatim: "uh your buddy texted her ten times in two days. She really likes him, and was texting him back, but she found it a bit much."

It should be obvious to anyone who has read Seddit, but no matter how much the girl is into you and you're into her, and even if you've already had sex, just remember: overtexting kills.
