All things being equal, if she wants to bring a friend, I'd say she isn't interested. If you're experienced, you may be able to make it work, but seems like a lot of effort to me.

I had something like this with a girl. She was nervous about meeting me "in case you're some axe murderer" so she wanted to bring her sister.

My reply was:

"That will be a weird threesome for you"

Naturally that might not be such a great line if the other person is Dave. But the point is: If you're going on a date, there is no bringing other people.

Perhaps it would make her feel comfortable not to be so date pressure oriented from her perspective initially. She may want to get to know you more in a friendly environment before going on a date.

Two reasons, one she doesn't see it as a date, second more likely given you said you were in a rush, she is nervous meeting up with a stranger on her own. Could be she's always hooked up with people she's grown up with in her social circle and this is new to her.

Consider it an indication of interest and she's offering an opportunity to seal the deal. What have you to lose? If it happens next time you ask her out though things don't look positive, or maybe she only feels comfortable in a group.

I think the friend is unacceptable. Tell her clearly that it's a date: one on one. The date must be in a neutral, public, safe place. You want her alone but you want her to feel not threatened.

Tell her to bring her friend. Play cool and be social with the guy. It's possible that you may encounter something like this in the future so you can practice. Show value letting her know you don't care.

It's like when you are with a girl in a bar and you let her talk with other guys without chasing her. That shows confidence as fuck and makes you look like a cool social guy.

I had a datę yesterday and she was doing a school job before with a classmate so when we met, they were together. I invited the guy to come with us and we had a really good time. 2 friends called me and i invited them over for a while.

Turns up she texted me at 1 am to tell me "next time you go to that-cool-place-we-went call me".

Don't be childish. If someone comes to play with your friends, they can become your friends too.

What I would do is invite friends of my own and make it a group lunch/boozy brunch. Everyone pays for their own food/drink and probably won't initiate conversation with her after that day. If Dave was cool then I would invite him out because it sounds like he got friend zoned and I would wing man for him and get him a girlfriend/boyfriend (i don't judge). I would then watch as Sarah's text blow up both of our phones and laugh quietly to myself. That is just me tho

Dude, just go for it. If it ends up not being a "date," you're still having fun with two other people. Not only that, but the fact that you are comfortable pursuing her in the presense of another man could turn her on even more.

Do you have girl friends? Bring the hottest one with you to occupy this dave guy. If that doesn't help, just have fun, befriend him, concentrate more on him than her, since if she really is interested in dating you, she will work hard to get your attention. Next time just tell the girl straight out that you are not interested in meeting her friends when you go on a date with her.

At first glance I'd say no, thinking further I'd confirm with her that bringing Dave is a great idea and that you think it will be a blast. During the non-date, have more conversation with Dave than her (40% her 50% Dave). At the end of the event, let her know that you'd like to get to know her better, one on one. Do this in front of Dave. Then look at Dave and tell him that his FRIEND is awesome. Then, in front if her, ask Dave for his number and tell him that you'll catch up with him to watch a game over a few beers, because he's a chill dude.

Review: You're demonstrating value, and a super chill level, leaving her curious and leaving Dave comfortable. If it doesn't work out, I'm sure she or Dave knows more girls and can hook you up with girls in their social circle.

Tell her you want it to be just you two and not her friend. If she disagrees, she's probably not interested. You have to set your boundaries and let her know what you are and aren't cool with because if you don't, then you're just going to get strung along.
