You can never go wrong with girls that are 21.

At that point in their lives if they want to be with a guy that's much older than them, they're mature enough to make that decision.

Though when I was between the ages of 19-21 I had a strict "Must be out of high school" rule.

I hate the way people think about this question, like the formulas for calculating maximum age difference. It is bullshit. It is a bunch of moralizing, making value judgments about what other people should do in their sex lives. I find that repugnant.

When I was 23, I had an LTR with a 40 year old woman. Everyone thought that was awesome (especially her cougar girlfriends who wanted a piece of that). More recently when I was 50 and had a relationship with a 32 year old ex-stripper MILF, people were not so okay with that. One guy called me a pedophile, which is utterly ridiculous. Just because a woman is young enough to be my daughter doesn't mean she isn't a grown woman capable of making her own sexual decisions.

What people don't realize is that the whole concept of dating and marrying people your own age is only a very recent phenomenon. It basically started after WWI and really took hold after WWII. Before that time, men usually had to be wealthy enough to afford a house and lifestyle that would support a family, often a man didn't get there until he was in his 40s and 50s, and those guys were the most desirable husbands even to very young women. It was not at all uncommon to see married couples with decades of age difference, even 40 or 50 years difference. It was only in the postwar era that the age difference of married couples started to decline and it became more common to see couples of almost the same age. Yet still today, it is still a basic belief that a man should be bit older than his woman, maybe 2 to 5 years. This is just a remnant of the days when that would have been 20 to 50 years older.

So seddit is about getting the type woman you want. If you're like me, in your early 50s, you shouldn't have to settle for the old hags in their 50s. If you want to go for the 18 year olds, you should be able to do that, nobody's going to stop you. I've been reading some material on age differences, since I usually go out sarging in college bars where women over 25 are extremely rare. The stuff I read says that many women would actually prefer an older man, but they feel intimidated by his age and experience, and feel that he is out of her league. So make her feel like she is welcome to "upgrade" from little boys, up to a real man, and that she has nothing to be intimidated about.

For me, if I'm not interested in hanging out with them, I'm not interested in fucking them. So most girls that young would be disqualified. Not all, but most.

But you live in the States. I wouldn't be interested in someone I can't even go to the bar for a drink with.

Meh, the age/2 + 7 rule is good if you don't know anything about the woman but it's usualy pretty easy to tell if they're mature enough just from a few sentences.

Personally I've found girls in their late 20ies into 30ies tend to have less drama than younger girls. I prefer to hang out/hook up with girls that have their shit together

When I was 20-21 I dated a 31 year old woman. It was great for both of us. After awhile she was looking for something more serious, and I was still in college. Still, it was a great 6 months and we parted friends.

So if you're just looking to date, be social, have fun, the age range is really expanded.

If you're actually looking for a LTR with marriage & kids as a possibility, the age range probably closes up some, but the more important factor is what stage of life they're at. Some 25 year olds are focused on partying, some on career, and some want to have kids.

I'm in my late 30s, my secondary is 22, and we get along soooo well. I think this is a self-limiting belief. It's creepy if you have power over her or are taking advantage one way or another. Mutual relationships between adults are fine as far as I'm concerned.

I'm 35, my wife is 26, and most of the girls I've fucked over the last few years (we have an open relationship) have been in the range 18 to 25, with a few outliers (older).

Most of the girls in question have explicitly been looking for guy that are older than them. At least a couple of the 18-19 year olds specifically were not interested in guys younger than late 20's at the youngest.

It's not unusual for girls in the 18-25 age range to prefer men older than me.

Frankly, I don't see many women my age that are physically attractive enough to be of interest to me, so I am quite happy to sleep with 18-19 year olds as long as I'm sure they know what they're getting themselves into.

I've found a big difference in emotional maturity with 18-19 year olds and girls that are 20+. I try to draw the line at 20 but it's not absolute.

A=Your Age

a=Minimum acceptable age of target

So for you (34), you shouldn't go after anyone younger than 24.

It's not perfect but this is what I've heard.

Well I'm a 21 year old guy, and I don't think I could date a girl above 26 or 27 years old, so I think it would be pretty weird for a guy above 27 to date a girl younger than 21, at the very least.
