I have a few questions that could lead to a very wild accusation but not dismissible...

1) Who is on the lease?

2) Do you pay her your portion of the rent and in turn she give the landlord the check?

If she is the one on the lease and/or the only one paying the landlord the rent... could it be she is pocketing your money while working out some deal with the landlord? Not saying its happening! but just throwing it out there...

Some of the advice here is pretty extreme. You got your gut feeling. Check her phone. No big deal. Trust but verify. Ending it based on an interaction with no evidence I think is retarded. You would be ending relationships every other day unless you kept the chick in a cage.

From my experiance there will be times your LTR might be more socially open with other people because they think they are being social. Ask her why she's talking to the land lord. If she says it's about anything other than the property, tell her to stop talking to him. Your reason being that he's responsible for maintaining the essentials of your apartment and building. You are responsible for payments and etc. And you don't need the relationship compromised to a friendly one. Depending on her response I think you'll have your answers.

Option 1: you're insecure and reading into her behavior which you need to get over, otherwise you'll be an overbearing and resentful prick at some point.

Option 2: be direct and talk to her about it. Odd as it may seem, sometimes women like a little bit of jealousy. It's fucked up but knowing that you don't like her giving other guys attention makes her feel emotionally safer in the relationship.

Option 3: you won't or can't try option 2 and just need to leave her because you'll just end up resentful until the relationship collapses.

Note: if a relationship can't have or handle honest, up front conversations... One or the other needs to do some self work before getting into long term relationships.
