I find the only way to handle the boring questions is to make up a ridiculous lie.

Her: So what music do you like?

Me: Nickleback

Her: What... really?

Me: Yeah but every now and then I'll spice things up with some Justin Bieber.

Same thing as with everything else that doesn't on the surface benefit your pickup:

Ignore it, or reframe it as her displaying her attraction for you. As an example of the latter, if she calls her an old perv for example, ask her what it is she likes so much about old pervs. Whatever she tries to say, reframe it as her wanting you because of what she says about you.

But don't linger on the subject - if she has doubt about your age, you want to leave the subject on a positive (to you) note without leaving her room to pick up her doubts again.

If she tries to push the subject after you've picked up another thread, jokingly mock her for being hung up about it. E.g. "You're still hung up about your daddy issues? We're talking about my vacation in Mexico now, try to keep up".

I'm 32 and the last 3 girls I've dated have been 19, 21 and 21. It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal. Most girls really don't care about age its more about how they see you carrying yourself.

The gist of it is that you gotta remember your age is not an issue. It is not relevant at this point, in any sense whatsoever. That's why we say it's disqualifying question: it's creating an useless goalpost.

So you must treat it with a slight tone of ridicule, no matter what your answer is. The tone is more important than the answer. But you can use it in your favor, as Kandoh exemplified.

Happens to me all the time...last time it did, I made her guess; she was waaay under, but it all worked out...I made fun of her bad guessing skills and it was no longer an issue...

Same situation. I'm 32 and the majority of women I meet these days are early 20's. I was chatting for 20 minutes with a girl who turned out to be 17 about 1 week ago but I cut and run even though she was super hot. 19 is where I'd draw the line nowadays.

My generic response is to get them to guess and then cut them off with something like "old enough (to know better)". Sometimes I'll do the outrageous lie (e.g. I'm 54). Very few girls seem to care even if I do tell them my real age (or if it is revealed by another person who knows).

The conventional wisdom I've read is, don't conceal your age, be proud of your age and wisdom. But some women are intimidated by older men, they feel you are out of their league. Some people suggest using a disquaifier like "you're too young for me," note that didn't say you were too old for them. Others say you should use your age and experience to your advantage, you have more conversational skills and you have a lifestyle beyond what younger women have established. So help them to be comfortable in your world, and make them feel they are "worthy."

And I also note that your age difference is minor. I'm 52 and I live in a college town where almost everyone is 18-25. I recently had a girlfriend that was 17 years younger than me. When I was only 22, my first LTGF was 20 years older than me.
