Disagree with most the of posts there. I have never met a forever alone woman before. I've met too many forever alone men. every other week I feel like I see a "IAMA 35 year old virgin AMA". Men have it considerably harder when it comes to dating and that's just reality, sometimes I wish all I had to do was stand around and look pretty and wait for people to approach me.

In a ideal world it would be wonderful if women approached men, but it just doesn't happen very often all. A lot of people there are just accusing him of being misogynistic and objectifying women while completely missing the point.

I at some level reject women every week, whether I'm just not attracted, not in the mood, taken or too shy for the situation, I really don't think they had it easy.

If I compared myself to my lady equivalent I could say she could go to a bar and get hit on in 10 minutes and hook up with a guy that night without effort. But at what cost? Would he be a guy she was attracted to? Would she feel safe or happy? Would she actually want this meaningless fuck with a total stranger?

You might say these concepts are bullshit but I've felt them and I'm a guy. I've cum without 'orgasming' when I just wasn't that into it and it feels stupid. I've gone through the motions of sex and not felt I've accomplished anything because she wasn't the girl I was looking for and wasn't any hotter than the previous one. Straight after sex I usually have an overwhelming feeling that I want the girl to go home so I can relax. Meaningless casual sex with people who are not quite at the standard you're looking for is really not all that.

And that's all women can really get easily. The guys they really want are just as rare as the girls we really want. Decent, confident, successful, good-looking guys just don't settle for the first pretty girl that smiles at them.

If I was the equivalent women I would not have it significantly easier and I would in fact still be chasing a stream of not-quite-what-I-want fuck buddies and semi-relationships. I would have to deal with cheating guys and rapists, sexual harassment, being obsessed about my appearance and worst of all: childbirth and periods.

Oh and guys are not loyal, we all cheat, its completely hard-wired into our brains. If you're a guy and you "don't believe in cheating" you're probably Gandhi or just inexperienced in the matter. Hell, even Gandhi was a player, read up! When you learn that you can fuck as many women as you like you're not going to be so attached to your 3-year college girlfriend. Imagine coming to terms with that reality as a girl, you will constantly question your partners fidelity. I know how jealous I get when I imagine a fuck buddy with another guy and that's with a girl who I don't even suspect!

I don't think any sex has it easier. Game can be practiced but, as with girls, the hotter the ass you can pull the higher your standards. So you can have good game and still not have what you want. Conversely you may not be an HB10 and still be happy with your man.

I think of it like one of those video games where one side is the humans and the other side is the Klingons or Orcs or whatever. The sides are different but each has strengths and weaknesses that balance things out.

As guys we expect ourselves to just love sex almost any way that we can get it. Sometimes we feel like we are ready to go out and get it on with anything that will let us. I think we've all been hit on by someone we didn't want to hook-up up with. Sometimes it's cool and sometimes it can be annoying. How about a cool friend that's a girl that you're just not attracted to. She's fun as hell, but for whatever reason she's not someone you think you would sleep with. Have you friend zoned her?

I think one way to really understand how a woman feels is to think of a time you've been in a relationship and declined sex. Or you prefer masturbation instead of sex. Then how do you feel while your partner is trying to talk to you or pressure you to have sex. If you're under 25 you are probably thinking that this sounds impossible, but who hasn't had a relationship die out.

What I'm trying to say is that as a man I think we feel these things. For some reason I generally don't think about it much. I see an attractive woman and I might want to sleep with her. If I see an un-attractive woman I don't think "What would happen if she tried to sleep with me?" Even when I think I'm "lowering my standards" there's still probably a huge number of woman that just aren't even on my radar.

The top few comments from that post have it spot on. Being a guy, on the whole, is way easier. Upward mobility (sexually) for a woman is much harder than it is for a guy. All a man has to do is dress better and approach more prospects. A woman, on the other hand, may have to deal with months in the gym, plastic surgery, and liposuction, and even then, there's no guaranteed way to hide one's age.
