Not long ago I felt like total shit, so I tried to think my way out of the threatening depression the best I could. Having an awesome night broke me out in the end, but I paved the way for that by tons of radical positive thinking.

Now, this subject is too wide to post about with 'just a little mental gambit', but there's a little trick I invented, which actually boosted my confidence quite a bit in the short term.

Whenever you catch yourself thinking ANYTHING, whether positive or negative, rephrase the thought so that it

A) starts with 'Awesome,'

B) Ends with 'Like a boss!' (or, if you don't dig that, whatever equivalent floats your boat ;) )

Example:

'Oh fuck, I dropped my hat.'

becomes:

'Awesome, I dropped my hat, like a boss.'

Yes, I know. It's pretty ridiculous. Take it with a grain of salt, don't take yourself too seriously, and mentally chuckle at how retarded this sometimes is, but don't stop doing it until you're so in state that you could break a bone and still be happy.

What you're essentially doing is reframing all of your experiences so over-the-top positively that your mind has no other choice than starting to dig your surroundings.

Of course this ain't no magic pill, baby, but it's actually a lot of fun to do, and it boosts your state. Your conscious mind may think this little gambit isn't worth considering, your subconscious digs it, I promise ;)

I'd love to hear whether this works for some of you other dudes out there!

Wolf out.
