I’ll give some background about myself, I am an Indian guy 25 years old, come from a pretty liberal family. When I first started reading it I thought hmm, this might apply to more so American people but my culture is immune from that. When I started looking a bit deeper, I saw it happening with my own family.

My parents were never strict, however they did hope that we’d one day marry someone from our own culture. They never said they were going to make us have arranged marriages or anything like that, they just hoped we’d find someone good in college or when we started working.

But often when we would all hang out at our Indian parties the topic would come up. Usually guys would say that they would be open to it, while the women would flat out reject it. My sister was completely against the whole thing.

She liked being independent, and choosing the guys she would date. She had a nasty habit, of choosing guys that were above her in attractiveness. I remember when I was in high school, she was with a guy that was too embarrassed of calling her his official girlfriend. And in general she would go guy after guy that would treat her like shit, I used to before think, man guys are such assholes, instead seeing that my sister was the common denominator.

In college my sister and I didn’t talk much, but I could see on her Facebook, she would party often. Post some dumbass song lyrics when she went through a break up or some guy treated her poorly.

Now that she has gotten older (29), she has mentioned to my parents that she would like to get an arranged marriage. All of a sudden the whole slutty behavior of her past was all a mistake. And in general the single women in our social circle have gotten older, the more “open “ they are to an arranged marriage. AKA beta bucks Indian husband.

Indian parents raise their children to be hardcore career people, doctors, engineers etc. This helps the guys out later in life but for the women, if they want a guy that makes more than them, their pool is pretty damn small. Successful Indian guys, are more than open going back to India to get a loyal housewife. However, no successful Indian woman is okay with a stay at home husband.

After reading the redpill, I don’t think of my sister as any less. I still love her and hope she does find happiness in life. It’s just that her actions make so much more sense now, back then I wanted to slam my head against a wall when she’d continuously get mistreated by guys, now it all kind of makes sense.

As of now, I am engaged to my girlfriend (also Indian), however my parents don’t want us to get married until my sister is married because it would look poor. My girlfriend was initially going to save her virginity till we got married, but after we got engaged, we been going at it feverishly : ).

edit to the whole race debate going on. As my opinion there are two things.

1). Indian dudes in general need to care more about their appearance. A fat, overweight, socially retarded, White dude isn't the one bagging up all the Indian women.

2). White people in general are viewed as high status, Indian dudes themselves would often prefer a White gf over an Indian one.
