So it's Saturday afternoon and my girlfriend got off work and decided to go to the local coffee shop. She's sitting at the back - quiet, cute girl on a laptop - and a guy approaches her. He says he can read her fortune with coffee leaves. She gets intrigued, he predicts her future, and she laughs and calls him out on his bullshit, which he admits to.

THEN, she asks him questions about himself, what he does, who he is, and goes and sits by the window of the coffee shop on the far end from this guy. About two hours later, I stopped by the shop to say hi and she told me this story. Soon thereafter, she sent me some internet meme about wanting to be respected for her mind rather than her beauty.

This shook me up a bit. I haven't been acting as playful as I usually do with school, a job hunt, trying to find a new place, and the like. I love my girlfriend and we have a great relationship, but I feel like I haven't gamed her in a long while, and this guy giving her attention was something cute she hasn't experienced for a few months.

How do I stay on top of my game and avoid feeling threatened by this sort of thing in the future? I'm so rattled.
