This is a follow up to my last post which can be found here.

So I am hyped up, in state and decided to head over to the bar district of the town. I had a few places that I knew from before, and wanted to check them out as they were a lot more familiar. I walk over to one of our favorite bars, and as I pass by another bar that I had never heard of, I looked inside and it had a huge outdoor patio with a lot of people in it. Normally, it would be really really intimidating to go in alone, with all the people (in my head) looking at me (again, in my head). I thought, "fuck it, this place looks like a cool place to warm up," and went inside. I figured, no matter how bad this place goes, nobody here knows me so I have absolutely nothing to lose.

I walked towards the bar (I know, should have opened a few sets, but wanted to get some liquid courage). As I near the bar, I saw a blonde HB7 and her friend brunette HB7 sitting at the bar, the blonde with her head buried in her phone. The seat next to her was empty, so I just went over and sat next to her without saying a word. I make small talk with the bartender, who was kinda lame as he did not want to talk at all and ordered another beer. While waiting for it, I tap the blonde's shoulder and ask her whether she has a lighter. She fished for it in her purse and gave it to me, but from her looks, she looked mildly buzzed. I lit up, and asked her an opinion opener from Mystery's book

Me: "Hey, I need your opinion with something."

She turned to face me, looking a bit agitated as if I interrupted her from having the best orgasm ever

Her: "Umm, sure."

Me: "(Looking straight in her eyes) Would you ever date someone that was still in touch with his ex?"

I had not even finished my sentence and she blurts out

Her: "No, never."

Right then, I knew that either this girl was way too drunk, or has the social skills of a duck. Now this is a very important point to make here. Normally, the thought that would run in my head is that I asked the question wrong, or that I don't look good or there is something wrong with me. But these thoughts simply did not pop in my head. Instead, I just thought that either she is not in the right state of mind or just doesn't have the skills. Internal confidence I guess. I thought, I will just let her be and scout the bar. But as soon as my drink arrives, the blonde HB7 turns her body to face me and says

Her: "You know, it depends. How old is the couple, etc?"

Me: "Oh, they are like 28-29, it is actually my buddy Chris. See, he broke up with his last girl-friend 2 months ago, and is now seeing this new girl. Well, he has a box in his closet with old pictures, letters etc., and his new gf found out about it. Well, now she is telling him to get rid of it, or she will call it quits."

As I said this, I notice that her eyes lit up. She was still very drunk, but women love gossip and relationship drama. But I could really not figure her out, and she just kept going back and forth between me and the phone.

Her: "Oh well, you know if the girl is mature, she should not have a problem with it."

I immediately neg her right there, although I was really getting irritated with the phone

Me: "But you just said without even any second thoughts that you would not date anyone that was in touch with their ex."

I grinned after saying that. She knew she had walked over her response, and decided to play the drunk card (or she was really drunk). Anyways, she goes

Her: "Well, whatever. (Looks at the phone) I guess it just depends on the state of the relationship."

I was really irritated by then, so I decided to end the conversation there, as I wasn't feeling anything. I told her

Me: "You are really rude. You have been on your phone the whole time we are talking."

She snaps back

Her: "Why are you calling me rude. I am anything but rude, I answered your question politely, and I did not come here with you. I came here with my friend, and I want to just have a good time with her."

Now see, I have never ever been in a situation like this before, because I always played Mr. Nice guy, and let women just take me for granted. Not tonight. I maintained my calm composure, and in a firm tone said

Me: "You know, it is common sense and politeness to not look at your phone when you are talking to someone."

Her: "Well, I just want to have a good time with my friend here. I answered your question, and now let me text my friend."

As she answered this, it was clear that I was not going to put up with this shit. So I just chuckled, and looked away from her. But I sat there, and maintained my calm and composure, and made small talk with the bartender. 30 seconds later, a guy comes to my other side and is waiting there to order drinks. He was wearing one of the new Android smart watches which I thought was really cool, so I just ask him about it. We talked for a bit about the watch, and he asked me about myself. I did not want to lie that I was there by myself, so I told him that I had just moved to this city, and decided to check out the bar scene. He genuinely looked impressed, and said that I had come to the right place. As we were talking, his drinks arrived and since there were a lot of glasses, he said he'll be back to get the rest. I told him cool, and just started watching the game. The guy returns a minute later, and tells me that he is with a big group that have half the bar area covered, and that I can come and join them if I want. I tell him that its cool, and I will come by in a few minutes. We shake hands, and he heads to his group. A simple conversation let to an invitation to join the group.

As this was happening, the blonde HB7 was still sitting next to me. When the guy leaves, she sensed in my tone and body language that I was not fazed by her shit-tests and bitch behavior earlier, and she tapped my shoulder

Her: "I am sorry about my behavior earlier. I was a bit rude. Tonight is just not a good night for me, as I am having a lot of shit from friends (points to her phone)"

Me: "It's fine (showing and feeling no emotion). Shit happens, you get over it."

I really did not want to talk to the HB7 and decided to head over to the group. I walked up and the guy I was talking to was sitting in between like 15 people, as it was a lounge setting. I literally made my way through the crowd, asking people to make space for me. Mind you, I knew nobody in the group, and everyone was looking at me, half of them puzzled and other half complying with my request. I tap the guy's shoulder, and he turned around and gave me a wide grin. He announced to everyone

Guy: "Everyone, this is fossilfuels. He is from another city, and decided to check our city out."

Everyone: "Hey fossilfuels! Welcome to our city. You picked the right place and group to hang out with."

Just like that, with a simple conversation at the bar, the group of roughly 20 people was embracing me, and also partly qualifying to me. See, half the people who looked puzzled when I made my way into the group immediately changed their expressions to respect and gave me a welcoming smile. As I was introduced around the group, I noticed a couple of HBs but it seemed like they had something going on with some other guys in the group, judging by their body language and proximity, etc. So I decided not to open the HBs, but just polite introductions and talked to a few guys who were pretty cool.

As I was talking to one of the guys, I noticed a group of 4 HB8-9s sitting one one side of the bar (A, B, C and D). I immediately asked the guy if he wanted to go meet some cool looking women. He said he was down for it, but I could sense that he did not expect it. I asked him to follow my lead and we walk over the group. Now normally, it is suggested that one should approach from front, but A had looked at me a couple of times before, so I knew it would be awkward and kinda sneaky to approach from the back, and instead I just walked up straight to them. I again decided to use the same opinion opener
