When you're 10 minutes away, text her you'll be there in 10 minutes.
When you arrive, call her and tell her you're there and you're walking up to her front door.
if her parents answer, say "hey, I'm PKA97, I'm here to pick up ____. Is she ready?
if she answers the door, say "hey, you ready to go?" Then you walk to your car and drive away.

Don't over think it bud, just be yourself and remember, if it won't be a big deal in a month, it won't be a big deal now.

I would suggest you not overthink these situations. You should just be yourself, not focused on being someone you arent. Remember you are there with her to begin with for that exact reason. Also go into it with zero expectations. No goal except to have a nice dessert and enjoy her company. Laid back. Hands off. It will totally chill you out and she will be comfortable along with you. This is when you will have fun.

The key is to let it flow. If you think too hard about what to do next you'll freeze up, and no one wants that. Just be confident but natural about everything. I would text her saying that you're on your way and call her when you get there. If you want to meet her parents by knocking that's totally up to you

It's key you say generally where you're going, as it stops them from asking you in front of her and then you have to ignore the mental images of what you probably are hoping you end up doing.

If she answers the door say hello and tell her how pretty/cute/beautiful something about her outfit is.

Most important thing is to have fun. Converse, lots of eye contact. If you feel things are flowing smoothly touch her in a non-sexual playful way and gauge her response.

Other than that I haven't been 17 in a looong time, so my advice is to not read too much into anything or worry too much.

You need to not give a shit and just pick her up. Don't think about anything when you're with her that will make you over think the situation. Literally pick her up as the same friend. Cats out of the bag obviously you both like each other so hangout like nothings changed except the fact that you guys can get sexual. Don't try too hard just make it natural. Think like her and react off of your emotions to escalate the situation but your intuition and most importantly use your logic as a man to know what you need to do and when you need to pump the breaks to not over do it and freak her out. Just be a man and do what you feel. Try to understand what she's feeling though before you act on it. Just be aware. She obviously likes you and just wants you to act in a way that validates her questionable feelings towards her. Just do your thing. Don't be scared. Who gives a fuck in the end?

I would say most girls don't want to be put on a pedestal and doted on (and if they do, run!) but I think most girls also like to be treated a little better than "one of the guys". So I would go to the door, introduce yourself to the parents and be very polite about it. Tell them where you're going and what time she'll be home. But if she sees you pull up and comes right out, then take her cue. She doesn't want her parents to embarrass her yet :)

I would only open her car door if you can sort of make a joke out of it and you think she'll find it charming, like "I saw that in an old movie once and I always wanted to do it." or whatever. I think a little pre-planned thing like that can help you both relax if you're going to be nervous, and it sets the tone for a more relaxed date.

As for how to escalate physically, this is pretty easy these days. Kids with their cel phones. Start off sitting across from her (pick a spot with benches instead of chairs!), and as long as things are going ok, find some excuse to show her something on your phone. Funny video, an instagram account you know she'd like, whatever. Of course, it's easier to show her if you're sitting beside her, so just slide around and lean against her while you're looking at stuff on your phone and laughing. And then just read her body language from there. If she moves away (unlikely) then back off for a bit and be cool. If she leans back into you, puts her hand on your knee, or anything like that, then you've got a green light to look for a good moment to make eye contact with her, smile, and move in for a kiss.
