PUA gets a lot of grief on the internet - generally people think it's great or they think it's a manipulative tool. Like any 'weapon', I think that it just needs to be used in a responsible manner.

Technically, without meaning to sound arrogant, I am a 9/10. But whilst my appearance might be generically appealing my mind is not- I'm a dork/geek/nerd to the max ( a personality test told me, so it must be true). As a result I was never in the pretty girl bitchy social environment. The only guys who approached me were good examples of AFCs usually saying something like: "wow, you're so exotic", "nice tits", "damn that ass" which doesn't make the best conversation starter.

That's why I give total respect to PUA, it helps people to get over social anxiety and actually start engaging with people. I used to be socially awkward so I have great respect for people who learn how overcome that. It's awesome.

The truth is, whether i like it or not, that the pickup techniques work - I fell for most of them. Not because I am female but because it was a more interesting experience than being randomly groped. I knew that game was being used but i frankly didn't care.

What worked was not being put on a pedestal because of how I look, if you talk as if you don't care about appearance it is refreshing and girls like me will be more likely to be open.

What didn't work was negging - I don't really have an issue with it but it just felt annoying i.e he grabs my hands compares them to his and then calls them manly - i have nice hands so i was just like wtf. But that was just my personal experience - i think often with girls like me it's actually not necessary - I like Magic's comments on this - girls like me are usually open and happy to talk to people because we rarely get hit on.

However the most important thing I wanted to say is that you have to not only have good game but you also need to adapt it appropriately. It doesn't work when you use a universal technique for all girls. Make sure that you target receptive people and make your intentions clear - I know that this is standard and that the usual mantra is that you make the experience a positive one for the girl as well as the guy but sadly in reality people seem to forget this. Be careful - a lot of stuff that I have seen such as stuff to counter LMR whilst creating a short-term artificial sense of trust can be damaging long-term.

Basically provided you use these techniques ethically - COOL!

I am quite interested in other people's opinions, If you think i'm talking shite, let me know.

EDIT: Sorry if i pissed anyone off with the title - it's probably obvious that this was my first ever post on reddit, so yeah I am probably guilty of some kind of faux pas - hands up.
