Hello seddit, in this period of time I'm really trying to focus on self improvement and learning game and pick up.

In my group of friends, I'm often told that I am (by females mostly): - knowledgable

  • zen-like

  • calm and collected

  • "smartest person I know"

  • self control master

  • extremely rational

  • capable of saying everything with a straight face, boosting humor effect

  • particular in the way I deliver jokes, making them funnier

This is what has been said to me, with no modifications by me. I don't care if those things are true or not, since what matters to me is only appearence.

What bugs me, is that those characteristics are very different from what I imagine an alpha male would appear.

What I'm worried about is that those characteristics may be something you would see in just a "cool friend". You know, "that smart/strange in a positive way/knowledgable guy in my group of friends" and not someone who naturally attracts.

Why am I thinking this? All those things do not deliver fitness or energy. A friend of mine, who I consider an "alpha male" is constantly moving his arms touching everyone, for example, he is more free flowing in the way he talks and always makes dirty jokes. He makes good small talk too. He has been with more than 10 girls, and he has my age. I'm 24 and kissless handholdness virgin instead.

So I was wondering if I should try to ditch this persona and change more fundamentally. I'm already trying to learn to break the touch barrier in general but maybe I should move further and stop appearing smart and knowledgable. Maybe those things just kill attraction from the start and kind of friendzone me from the get go. Maybe those characteristics are good to have fun in a group of friends, but in the context of dating and hitting on girls they are boring and alienating?

I'm sorry, I may be quite confused...
