Give an excuse, at least. For instance, the great view from your apartment, or the tricks your dogs knows, etc She will get it, women are smart, and doesn't sound so harsh. If you have the right vibe it won't come off as desperate, but as something said by someone who knows how the game is played.

don't say come back to my dorm sounds lame.. say something that is interesting in your dorm.. IE a funny YouTube video or your lame posters collection... Trust me doesn't really matter if she wants you.. I used to use come see my view and i lived in a building where the bedroom window you could only see another building lol.. i think only one person said where is the view all the others knew we weren't going back to see a view lol

Check out my room is a bit boring, bring up a thing, invite to do/see said thing. I’ve got plants, records, can make a few interesting cocktails, have an aquarium… just something that if she’s interested in it it’s an easy “come see that thing you were interested in”, she’s not dumb(hopefully) and knows what you’re sort of doing but it gives her some plausible deniability and reduces some awkwardness in why she is there. Heck I’ve even used “I did laundry and still need to make my bed, could you come help me” but that worked cuz we had a rapport and she knew I was joking and liked my humor.
