So you all may be aware Im that lanky, 6'4" black guy who has struggled with bad self-image. Ive been taking steps as of late to get better at cold approaching women. Yesterday evening I was at the Mall - walked around for like an hour without doing anything (nerves and AA). Suddenly see this beautiful girl with bright red lipstick, and I said fuck it and went 'excuse me, I just had to say you're super cute'. I was persistent in introducing myself (she was shy at first), and after a bit of banter, suggested we go for a coffee sometime. She mentioned she was waiting for her friend so she asked if I wanted to grab one NOW, and it was surreal to me. We talked at Starbucks for like 30 mins before she came clean ; SHE HAS A BF. NEvertheless, we exchanged numbers and she said we can hang as "friends" sometime. No matter the outcome, this was a huge learning experience and a confidence booster. No longer do I think Im TOO ugly to approach women!

Edit: Y'all gotta check out my latest post in the sub to see the flipside of this that happened to me today...lol
