Writing this post mostly for myself to refer to any time I want to relapse on either, but hopefully this can provide value to others too.

I. Porn

This habit alone may be the number one factor that plays a role in someone going into a downward spiral or an upward spiral in their life. Your brain is getting an overload of reward and false achievement, only to leave you feeling more unmotivated and lonely afterwards. I still don't know the exact science on why social anxiety is so much higher and eye contact is much more difficult, but confidence usually soars when I give it up for 3+ weeks, I can work longer hours and it takes less willpower to get up and do the things I need to be doing (exercise, working on music, more hours w/ second job). This is a negative keystone habit because everything good you need to be doing for yourself becomes much harder and takes more energy, and you're more likely to run out of willpower and give up.

II. Sugar

Everyone knows processed sugar is one of the worst things you can put in your body, especially if you're trying to lose weight. I've never had a weight issue, but when you eat sugar you are overstimulating your taste buds, which leads to healthier foods being less appealing, which leads to you reaching for more unhealthy foods because that's all that tastes good, and now you're feeling and looking like crap, and the sugar industry and fast food chains have you exactly where they want you to be. The inflammation is making you more depressed and anxious, which definitely won't help your game. This is a negative keystone habit because sugar and fast food is extremely addicting, and initially a hard cycle to break out of once you're in. You can't have cheat days with sugar because you will run out of willpower between them and give up. Same applies to #1.

Quit these two keystone habits and you will solve at least half of the problems you experience not only in your dating life, but your entire life as a whole.
