In California CS applies until the child turns 18 AND has graduated high school. Otherwise the termination of CS occurs at 19. But at 18 they can choose who to live with as the "custodial" parent.

There is no CS above 18, in many states, children above 18 are not party to the divorce and should not be listed in the filing

in my state once a child is 18 the can live with whomever they want. Support may run though the end of the school year, however.

Your 18yo is old enough to vote with their feet.

You'll still be on the hook for CS until your state's emancipation statute is met -- which is most commonly until age 18 or until high school graduate/not enrolled, whichever comes later.

Usually CS until HS graduation. Child usually can pick either parent and that choice will be honored.
