We need to ask and take a serious look at the messaging men get. When feminists talk about the PatriarcyTM hurting men too that hurt is from women using PatriarcyTM. Its sadism the way we expect men to engage with children on a societal level. Men having more reproductive rights and less suspicion wanting to be involed with and around children is the next step in gender equality. The only way to deal with a big aspect of the gender pay gap is to have men move into feeling (child/elder care and other female coded work) jobs the way we push women into thinking jobs (stem). We need to push for men to take parental leave. These are easy and immediate things we can do that would drastically reduce the life time earning gap. Men need to have a say and be involved from the start and mens desire for children must be treated with the same care we do womens. The idea that women have a unique bond is only half true as men also have a unique bond. Both need to be respected. We dont need to remove womens ability to have an abortion or fetal eviction but we do need to make sure if its viable the baby is removed in a manner that attempts to preserve the life of the fetus. We need to also give men an analogous right to abortion as well as protecting fathers rights more strongly.
