I can understand where she's coming come. From the way I see it, she needs her balance in all her relationships and knows how to achieve that. She might have been single for a while and built a lifestyle of her own that included many hobbies and spending time with friends. It's good that she even told you instead of ghosting you. Maybe she's even concerned that you might get bored of her by spending so much time together. That's honestly the way I see this.

When I’m in a relationship, I tend to be perfectly happy with only spending time with my partner. I made that mistake in my marriage as well. It’s not healthy. Not for you, not for her. I learned that lesson the hard way. Her wanting to spend time with her friends should not be seen as a red flag… Part of this journey of self discovery post divorce is to be able to spend time by yourself and not constantly need to be with a partner. It’s hard and it’s a struggle, at least for me. But it’s the only way to have healthy relationships. The opposite leads to codependency and heartbreak.

Women move on QUICK after divorce. And I speak for myself when I say at first, I felt like I had to match her healing process. But that was a mistake. Because everyone is different. And everyone’s situation is different.

I need to repair and work on myself, before I even consider the idea of entertaining another person in my life. Also, my son is enough for me. I am his hero and I let that drive me

The easiest thing is to say take it slow and love yourself, the hardest thing is doing it, try looking at it if your giving the advice to the captain, but your the captain. After that you will be fine

Why not just have a honest conversation with her about her needs, and your fears about them, rather than asking strangers guessing her intent on internet based on only few sentences.

You are adult man with lifetime of experince, act like it. Have a adult conversation, or two with her.

If the relationship is not working for, just you be honest to yourself, and ask if it is not working for her, better to know than fool yourself.

If it is working and she means what she says and just needs life of her own in addition to dating, then respect that. Also always have your own life and hobbies, and not only live through others.

Why do you care if it's "serious"? And you don't seem to understand female nature: Women want to be with men that other men want to be, and other women want to fuck. So start dating other people. I bet you she'll do a 180 as soon as you post a photo to IG or Facebook with another woman.

Take the hint and back it down. If you're exclusive, suggest seeing other people. She may not be getting bored but it's definitely something. Trying to "make things work" when it's not working for someone ... well, I think we've all learned that lesson.
