(TLDR at the end) Everyone needs resources to survive and thrive, and in the modern world, this mostly means money. In ancient times, women sought resources from men because she was less physically capable of getting them herself, and pregnancy rendered her vulnerable. But in the modern world, women have proven that can do any non-physical job with similar levels of efficiency to men, and even with physical jobs, many of them are not out of reach for women of average strength, it’s simply a matter of willingness (waste disposal, certain construction jobs, etc.) But only women have the additional option of leveraging their own bodies as a means of making more money. It doesn’t even have to be overt, like OnlyFans. It can be more subtle, like people donating more to a female gamer of equal skill and charisma to the male gamer simply because she’s female, or a boss providing job/promotions to women at work that he’s attracted to regardless of competence. Even the sexiest men, whom woman are attracted to, don’t get resources at the same rate (women don’t feel as compelled to provide money for attractive men since to them, an attractive man is capable of providing; they offer sex to men they want, just as many men offer free gifts, meals, and money to women they want.)

Now since men can’t use their bodies to get resources, the only way they got resources was by using their superior strength to hunt more efficiently. When this wasn’t possible, they simply used their strength to force and coerce others (typically rival tribes) out of their resources. But violence is outlawed in the modern world (a man could still technically use violence, but then be swiftly met with resistance from stronger powers that didn’t exist in the same way in the primitive world of conquest—the modern government), and for the most important resource of the modern world (money, since it can buy other resources), you can’t use your muscles to “hunt and gather” for it like you would for plants, animals, and raw materials. I suppose men still have their athletic advantage, but only a small fraction of men have the genetics and training environment to gain entry into sports teams where they can acquire considerable resources from an athletic career.

Now personally, I think money is a much better reward than sex. Sex in the modern world is it like the ancient past, we are aware of the many diseases it can bring, you can be forced by governments to provide for children you don’t want, you can get caught in unnecessary drama, and compared to money, the range of what sex has to offer is small.

TLDR; money (resources) is more important than sex, women use sex to get resources and men use resources to get sex, men and women can do the same jobs for resources but only women can leverage their bodies and sexuality for resources, and men’s physical strength is meaningless unless you’re a genetic top percent athlete because violence is outlawed and individual men can’t challenge the government.

Is there any way for the imbalance to change? Because without the physical advantage, I fail to see how men have advantages over women in terms of acquiring modern resources (money), unless the woman is from a country where sexuality is heavily repressed.
