Last night, I was watching a movie named "The Idea of You." It's a drama-romantic movie starring Anne Hathaway. I usually watch romantic movies when I get a little cynical or psychotic. Anyway, while I was watching the movie, I had an epiphany about why men like older women or MILFs. Men are emotionally immature compared to women in most cases due to their brutish upbringing. Because of this, they often seek validation for their natural emotions. This perfectly fits into the checkbox of an older woman who seeks younger men for their innocent and emotionally distant minds, which they subconsciously desire to nurture as if they were their sons. The men involved with older women are constantly seeking emotional approval from them. In this relationship, the older woman serves two purposes: they act as both a mother and a girlfriend. They provide emotional support like a mother and physical companionship like a girlfriend. I know it sounds cheap, but if you really think about it, it somehow makes a little sense. This relationship usually occurs when the man is emotionally distant and seeking approval for his emotions, and the woman is either underappreciated or feels an empty void in her life in the shape of a loving partner or her own child. But you don't have to take my word for it because I'm an 18-year-old college student who has never dated in his life. So, it's up to you whether you take this post seriously or just see it as a rant from an 18-year-old kid with no life experience.
