Not sure why it has taken me so long to realise this. I also think it was my mind trying to avoid anxiety of having to talk to other people whilst sober...... I know scary shit right?

I have only recently come to fully realise and accept that drinking is a bad idea. I don't mean not having one or two drinks to get a little buzz, thats fine. But anymore than this, where you enter the realm of tipsy or drunk, just seems a bad idea (at least to me).

Talking to woman (or approaching if you use that terminology) definitely seems easier early on in an evening. It seems easier to get invited to tag along or to get them to bounce to another venue with you. I find optimal time for night game between 9 - 11:30ish.

Once it passes midnight, for me at least, if I am drinking too much, sure I lose my inhabitions, but also things like desperation or neediness occur. Earlier on in the night, I am normally quite grounded if not intoxicated. But later on it just changes, especially if alcohol is involved.

Anyway, I am probably preaching to the choir, but yeah, I spent ages telling myself to wait till I have had a few drinks, where as really I was just cockblocking myself. However, now I believe in this, my mind is no longer tricking me into getting drunk, it knows facing the anxiety is better than the alternative.

Then there is the topic of beer goggles. Thats another issue that dosn't really need much discussion, I hope.

Anyway, that is all I have to say as a nightgamer who likes to ride solo.
