Yea for sure. Kids complicate it, but only as much as you let it. You shouldn’t use it to trash your ex, but to make sure the relationship has a clean break. I look at it like this: she said she’s done so I’ll take her at her word. Gray rock the fuck out of anything beyond the kids. Her- “What do you think of my new tires?” Me- you’ll have to rotate them more with that aggressive tread. Seems innocent until you realize she’s just fishing for your emotional state, she’s not actually interested in your opinion.

True, our Ex can do a lot of damage to us, IF we let her, but she doesn't tyipcally add a lot of positive value to our lives. So, we need to move on and limit communication with the Ex to shared responsibilities, like children.

I think a lot of us used our exes, I did, as a source of validation to who we were as men and husbands. They now provide no value to who you are as a person.

Outside their role as a Coparent for your children, they are useless in your life now.

They are not an emotional or physical resource for you to rely on and are simply a person that you used to know.

I agree with it. I have no use for my ex-wife. I stopped communicating with her after all the financial stuff was completed after the divorce was final. Changed my phone number, don't care what happens to her, she deserves whatever bad things she brings upon herself.
